lap, although i’m struggling with the directions.
Years of pad fighting will do that i guess!
For tournaments, you better figure out a way to play on any surface. Lap is best if there are chairs and you don’t want to sit on a nasty ass floor.
On a chair on my lap, or on my legs sitting indian style, or on a tabletop.
Floor doesn’t do it for me. My legs fall asleep after like 5 minutes.
I prefer a table, it there’s one available, although tables will not always be available for tourneys, so getting used to lap playing is a good idea, which I’ve been trying out.
table for sure, my coffee table is the PERFECT height.
Lap. TE is the perfect girth, it never slips around on me.
I find that a small TV Tray is absolutely perfect. Even has that gap in between the 4 legs to stick your right or left leg through, so it’s nice in comfy with a chair.
If I play on the floor, I use my Arcade stick Box. I take it with me wherever I go. I’m going to see if there’s a way I can get a makeshift handle for it. I hate ot not use it, since it’s the perfect size for setting the stick on. 
Lap…because wherever I go my lap stays the same…If you get used to tables and you go to tourneys…they might have a different height table and your gonna feel weird

i really prefer tabletop, but when it is not available i guess lap will do
I’m really not worried about tourney play because I’ll never get that good so I’m usually on my couch with my legs on the coffee table and the TE in my lap.
lap it for sure, ive seen some guy put the stick on the floor, then cross his leg over it…anyone know what im talking about?
I have always played at friend’s homes, and we were usually 3 to 6 poeple there, so we were sitting somewhere randomly on the floor or on a couch, so i’ll say on my lap.
Now I go to the arcades pretty often in Japan, and I found myself putting my left knee right under the cab’s panel to keep the feeling of a stick on my lap when I play.
(Last week, I spent 2 hours removing a chewing gum from my Armani jeans because a douchebag stuck it under the panel of a versus city!)

I use a Mass style stick. very thick so im on the floor
I have a small, stand-like table that I put my arcade stick on so that I can play while standing up.
Since I am usually drunk while playing, my movements can be outrageous.
And therefore require cinderblocks to be attached to the stick.
I use my lap unless for some reason the chair has awkward arm rests. GGPO I use my computer desk for this reason.
floor. In the lap the stick moves around alot and you almost never have a tabletop at tournaments.
Tough to take to tournaments, but I agree it’s great to have an immovable stick. I’m still waiting for someone to say they have their stick inside a full-size arcade cabinet :lol:
