Come at me, 2012.
I’m ready for you.

■ Vega
Adjustment of status quo is about, we are fine-tuning only one point.
Total of 150 and 50 100 in total intensity value uniformly Stan
[Double Knee Press]
+1 F has the other side of the rigid time the first stage is also a hit.
This
- Double Knee Press (first stage hit) before the dash]] → [] → [EX Savings
Now can take advantage of up to +5 F.
Waiting for a real translation … but SK FADC is now +5. Neat, but not exactly inspiring.
Not sure what the 100+50 stuff is about. I think they’re making SK’s do 150 stun across the board.
Pity FADCing sk is almost always useless I can’t imagine letting us try a 1 frame link to cr.mk will help anything
Well, it makes FADC to c.LP a 2f link, so you can B&B into c.MK xx RH SK or a PC. Tho you’re still getting screwed by scaling at that point anyway. Still opens up a little extra damage/stun, though … can’t hurt.
Extra stun is good, I’ll take that. Faster dizzy leads to more opportunities to follow up with j.HP, cl s.HP xx HP Crusher/Knee Press.
Knee Press FADC? I hope it’s also +5 frame on block. If it’s on hit then it’s kind of meh.
I’ll take Knee Press FADC into Close s.HP, c.LK xx MK Knee Press combos, yo.
do you think there is more to be announced or is that all ?
Let’s make the best out of this folks.
j.HP, close s.HP xx Knee Press = 520 stun
c.LK c.LK c.LK xx Knee Press = 270 stun
s.HP xx Knee Press = 350 stun
c.MK/c.MP xx Knee Press =250 stun
So his jump ins are all gonna be slightly better.
This is an indirect buff over low stun characters.
Let’s see who is on the sort-of-hit list:
850 stun - Akuma, Evil Ryu
900 stun - Dan, Gen, Guile, Seth, Vega
950 stun - Blanka/Jimmy, Cammy, C.Viper, Guy, Ibuki, Juri, Dictator, Oni, Rufus
Everyone else is 1000+
Why do twins have 1000 stun? They’re tiny guys!
Edit: I did some random quick theory fightering, FADC being made easier can lead to some near touch of deathly stun combos.
So these two adjustments go hand to hand since first hit of Knee Press is now 100 stun, pretty much double from before.
There might be more to figure out later after release.
Capcom does not disclose full details.
i have problems playing charge characters but bison is a character i love his design all around
i think the dude is mean looking XD
would be a shame to see him nerfed
wish he had a good aa , i get destroyed by jump ins .
This is my line of thinking.
The only reason why I didn’t use more FADC combos was because I couldn’t get them down as reliably as I liked. With this frame buff I’ll take the extra damage I can get off two bars, provided the right situations of course.
I think it’s a great buff, actually.
I’m more concerned about Guile’s buffs… I will never believe that match up is anything else other than 7-3 his favour, and his buffs don’t help the current situation. The MU is currently listed as 6-4 on that latest chart that’s floating around, but it’s not like Bison’s other 6-4’s that he has. It’s hard. Real fuckin hard. At least in my opinion.
Guile’s not going to get easier, he got his 3f air throw back or some shit. I think backfist got nerfed?
But yeah, risky jump ins are a little more rewarding now, it’s just keeping some chip pressure to keep their stun values from resetting.
Trust me, aggressive Guile ALSO PLAY BISON is even harder, because all your option is clear as sky…I play one bait my EX PC out and throw me…like 3 times, its not random, I know Bison main also play Guile is like bison rebellion, but Guile main also play bison is like…Darth Vader?!
Guile: YES! YES! I AM YOUR FATHER!
BISON: NO!~NOOOOOOOO
I just wanna see a damage boost and an antiair… please
^THIS!!!
I’ll take it. They are buffs, not nerfs. I think the added stun is great actually. They added it to his best special, not just on one version, but on ALL of them. Bison may have low damage but if he can stun better he does do good damage off of jump in punishes… then he gets the knockdown for more mix-up potential if they aren’t KO’d. Also as Tony-San mentioned, Bison’s jump ins with jump heavy punch already hit like a truck, now it will do even more with stun. I like it!!!
Also LOL @ Viper damage nerf. That makes me happy. Her U1 had it coming, did stupid good damage.
The translation is accurate. 150 stun for scissor kicks and +5 from scissor kick fadc instead of +4.
Wow I didn’t even realize they nerfed sk stun in AE to 100.
wait wha? What was it in super brb
edit: was 150. Wow… they snuck in a nerf under my nose in AE, lol
I was hoping it would apply to sk fadc on block, but it actually only says hit. Otherwise we would’ve been +1 after on block instead of +0.
So at +5 after hit, you can go for cr.lp or st.lk. cr.mk doesn’t lead to anything since you don’t have charge. The only two practical followups would be st.lk -> st.hk, or cr.lp -> st.lk->cr.mk xx whatever
Bison is gonna be comparatively worse if they’re buffing Guile back and Honda is getting AA headbutt again.
have to say FADC buff is pretty shit. only way it would have been useful would be to let St.HP act as a follow up for some decent damage ( I know given the slow startup of St.HP this would have to be some amount of hit stun - just wishful thinking really). The only difference we are gonna see in bison’s game is more efficiency in FADC combo;s that do next to no damage anyway. All we will really have now is an incarnation of Bison that is in between super and AE but leaning more on the AE side, sigh.
I’m holding out hope for more unannounced changes. Please get rid of far St.HP so we can use the Cl St HP properly. Hey we are losing one move of Bison’s normals so really it’s nerf as well as a buff (well that’s what my point will be to capcom ;))
Yeah, Guile and Honda match ups aren’t gonna get any easier. They’re not going to totally eliminate bad match ups from this game. But IMO, don’t give into the silly bullshit, it’s not like this is anything new so there’s nothing to really complain about now.
At least if the opportunity rises, there’s the possibility we could at least bring Guile into dizzy mode if we’re lucky. Honda’s still just another mixed bag of unfun.
