@spenzalli - pretty easy wiring (11 connections = 8 commons + 3 colors) most of the work is done on the software end @purplearms - you can access all eight colors (if you include off as a color)
examples (as common cathode/ground)
blue for P1 = blue node HIGH, p1 common node LOW
purple for P1 = blue + red node HIGH, p1 common node LOW
yellow for P1 = blue + green node HIGH, p1 common node LOW
white for P1 = blue + red + green node HIGH, p1 common node LOW
your welcome. I went ahead and ordered me a masterstrike anyways. Good way for me to get started with things, and another good way for me to show my support. I believe I actually have seen most of your youtube vids (well the ones that I found posted around here), and they very impressive, and I love how you are pushing the envelope in this area. I am looking forward to seeing your future endeavors. Once you release your sparky project, I am definately on board to try it out (once I have a functional enough setup that I can help test things in ). I will be heading over to your flickr set shorty
Well props to you for sure, because altho you may talk down your skills, you created a board that is robust enough that other people have taken and adapted it to other things. I am really looking forward to playing with mine once i get it and my million other parts in. Oh I am patient, but you guys may not be when my million and 43 questions start pouring in I really should start looking for those custom leds I want to put in my arc-eyes.
Ok everyone who has ordered from me recently, everything has been mailed out. Should be there in about 2 weeks. The post office has lost a few packages inbound to me but it shouldnt be related to this at all. But still, it has shaken my trust in Canada Post⦠lolā¦
Nothing iāve sent out has never not been delivered, but iāll guarantee replacements if the post office fucks this upā¦
thanks for all the support! I dont really do this for the money lol⦠iāll be lucky to break even in the end⦠bencao and i plan to take all the junk pcbs weāve made and mulch them, then feed them to his cats XD
Installed in the KN-14. Instead of running a pin header for the ground I soldered directly to the switch post. When I placed my order for the headers, I originally asked for 40 female and 40 male. Unfortunately, I got 80 female! No matter; I soldered 30 gauge wire to the inside of the female connectors for the wiring harness. Had to be careful as the soldering iron had a tendency to melt the plastic around the pins!
All wired up. Masterstrike controls pcb switching, and LED switching, and the stick is wired to a spst switch to keep from anyone accidentally powering up the stick (and keep masterstrike from draining when not in use). When stick is switched on, PS3 pcb is powered up, first 6 buttons glow blue (button press). If select is held down when powered up, 360 pcb is powered up and the first 6 buttons glow green (button press). Last 2 buttons stay white and are connected to ACC1 on the masterstrike. That way they stay white regardless on if we are in PS3 or 360 mode, and can be cut off independently of the main 6 buttons. The only quirk is the on-on-off-off, as if it were set to ACC2 (but thatās a question for the masterstrike thread, and not a huge deal). I connected a small pushbutton on the on/off switch for sync. Battery can charge (slowly) thru the neutrick/usb hooked directly to the PS3 pcb, or can be disconnected from the junction block and charged externally if it gets to that point I canāt wait. Iāve got a proposed wiring solution for that, but Iāll post that in the other thread as well.
Wow, itās⦠beautiful. Props for the dremelling/pin header LED mess. I honestly didnāt know you had arc-eyes in the case when I saw the innards on the stick thread.
I got mine from an ebay dealer though. The spacing on the arc-eye is such that the headers fit without having to bend anything. Just break off the section you need (1-3 pins), insert into the ac-eye and solder
nice job Spenzalli! I have my own masterstrike on that DPDT switch, but most of the time i play without LEDs, so when i shut off the system, i totally forget to flip the switch to off⦠so most of the time, masterstrike is still on⦠but it draws very little power itself, so it isnt too much of an issueā¦
I made the white ones, but was hoping purplearms would do the single row of connectors on his own. If he does, cool, but it sounded like he was going to drop it after he was out, which is why I was asking. For lack of a better way of putting it, I donāt want to tread on his turf.
I have about 160 left (original 550), so about 20 orders of 8. Iāll set some aside for you. Once i run out, gummowned will probably still have some in stock.
