I haven’t seen one video yet that’s even made me borderline interested in this game.
That’s not to say it’s a bad game (it’s clearly not) but it just doesn’t do a thing for me.
Maybe down the line we’ll see some crazy stuff once the Japanese start to crack this game open, but as it everything’s pretty lackluster (presentation, character design, gameplay, etc).
Wow I really like how this sounds. IT encourages a certain play style but doesn’t diminishes others. I can appreciate design this design. Also the time last long so time outs seem rare.
Calling it the best may be a stretch but I think it handles itself properly if aiming for old school fighter with spice of new gen mechanics. It doesn’t look like a game that rides on sub system or heavy on gimmicks (well assists are important, they don’t seem overtake game flow). Just old fashion fighter with bit of everything. So in theory I think its possible for any one with 2d fighter experience to pick up easily.
It looks decent technically speaking at least for me, Ougon Musou Kyoku is definitely a beautiful game but it feels so limited (i hate that everyone do the exact lvl2 super), a cool experience, but limited. So at least here i prefer to wait and play it first.
The emotion level rises when you play offensively and drops when you play defensively. AFAIK, it is not possible to suffer a Guard Crush without first reaching the “negative” emotion state.
Note that the stats (and the accompanying character portraits) differ depending on your HP:
When your life is above 50%, positive emotion raises your offensive power by a little, while negative emotion decreases your defensive power by a lot.
When your life is below 50%, positive emotion raises your offensive power by a lot, while negative emotion decreases your defensive power by a little.
As far as i remember this game was released on NeSICAxLive isn’t? if tataki is right them get ready for some of the most heaviest piracy attack on Arcade history.
Yeah it’s boring when a mid tier character destroys the 3 top tiers that usually dominate the game.
From the eyes of someone who actually follows the game, having so many konomis in the top 8 was a big surprise.
From tournament videos I always see a lot of Toukas and Konomis. Riannon is bullshit but she’s not easy-mode. In fact Riannon is last in character usage percentile according to the NesicaXLIVE stats.
As a person who has been following this game for a while (and really likes the game) I’m more or less disappointed as fuck that 3/4 of top 8 was the most brainless character in the game.
I don’t like when Top 8 mostly consists of just one character, regardless of tier. Still, this game looks so fun to me. I would love to see this stateside.
