Anyone prefer MvC to MvC2?

Nah, having 10 buttons would totally stuff the folks who wanna play it with their 6-button arcade sticks.

I didnt mean the use of 10 face buttons (counted start and select). Ill edited my post but i was thinking more of the lines of 8.

The majority of sticks come with 8 buttons anyways.

Keep the current formart for 6 button sticks but add the option for all those 8 button sticks. IMO, would make MVC2 better overall.

This

and it’s interesting that

MvC1 had 6 attack buttons - MvC2 had 4 attack buttons
CvS1 had 4 attack buttons - CvS2 had 6 attack buttons

personally the MvC series works better with 4 buttons (light/med button and strong attack button) than a game like SFIII or SFA3 or even CvS which are far more strategic and would make better use of the 3 punch/kick levels of attack.

Sadly, the 4 button configuration also reduced the effectiveness of a few characters who have excellent medium attacks- namely Blackheart (J.MP), Rogue (D.MP),and Tron (All her Mediums)

I’m imagining why some ppl prefer mvc1 because they see the same TIRED SOME 4 chars (magnus/cable/sent/storm) used over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. I mean really even tho MvC1 has balance issues you gotta admit there are times where its more entertaining to watch then the same 4 chars used over a billzillion times in mvc2… the same constant tri-jump rushdown until hit then magnus air combo into tempest… the same cable AHVBx2,3,4 … the same storm runaway, combo into lightning super xx into sent combo 4 hit then rocket punch lol. Lets repeat the same thing for the next 10 years on the xbox live.

i actully agree. maybe some ppl should use different characters

I’ll be happy when I’ve learned all that above.

is it really worth it. when u culd learn the other teams in the game?

Oh I’ll no doubt play with totally random teams, once I figure out all their moves. I’m pretty sure 90% of the xbox ppl have never played this game before, just download it coz it’s new. So I won’t be alone.

tru shyt. when u download it keep this team in mind. dhalsim, psylocke, jin(not particuly in that order) but i found out that this team with proper assist usage works really well. normally i use storm or guile in place of jin but since we are talking about people who dont usually get used.

damn those guys are sick

while it’s cheap as fuck it’s not as easy as it looks

Come on guys, you know the best Capcom crossover game was the first to come, “Xmen vs Streetfighter”. They should have re-made this one or “Children of the Atom” aswell as “McC” but “MvC2” is just not as good as those three games. I don’t care about more characters, shittier gameplay, plus, like I said before,… the levels suck ass in MvC2 even tho there 3D. ( No Marvel Levels or Boss= WEAK)

I like Marvel vs. Street Fighter a lot too.

what would you guys rather play if you had one choice

XM:CotA or MSH?

i do not wish to promote watson any more than he already has been, so i’ll just respectfully say that you’re wrong

I’d rather play XM:CotA because it didn’t have those gay gems, and I just pefer xmen over avengers. They are both great non-tag team games, and I liked the levels the most in those two games. ( The bridge in Canada, that breaks, and falls in the river full of fish jumping in rapids, or Doc Dooms submarine… I’m glad I own these games even tho there on Psone.

Xmen was ass, some characters were over powered

Hey, I’m playing XmenCotA right now on PS… does anyone know how to face akuma at the end of arcade mode (Secret Boss)???

Apart from MVC2 (which surprises me with its longevity, over 9 years later), from most to least which were the most popular and most played Marvel/Capcom fighting games? (This includes COTA & MSH)

This is exactly what I was getting at with my post. Glad someone got it.
