Its not an accurate replica though and doesnt (from what I can tell from the website pics) have the rounded top. There is a australian company that does them for around that, but shipping will kill you.
What would be the point with those rec room masters, i still dont understand why someone would buy that cabinet. There is no arcade control panel, you have to use your own arcade stick. Its pretty much a desk w/ your monitor on it.
Probably this one, shipping is about $120 so about $570 total.
For $570 itās still a good looking cab. You could even pick up a repro lindbergh/astro/egret panel from Jasen on these boards and mount your sanwaās to it.
Iām not a fan of the rec room masters one. Though I donāt personally have a problem with a cab that you use your own sticks on, too many configurations that I want, spinner, guns, trackball, 2 way sticks, 4/8 way, circular restrictor, etc. I need my cab modular.
I feel the same, I have a candy cab I recently picked up and now want to sell. I just canāt bring myself to start modifying/customizing it. I think Iāll just go with a custom build and customize it without worry.
Marquee art? Gameongrafx is a good one. I believe you can get fedex office to do it as well. My Staples cannot do a marquee, but maybe your local one can.
Is anyone by chance able to convert the PSD templates that have been floating around into Illustrator?
The print shop says they can use the die cut with the cutout guide layer, but the file needs to be in AI format. It seems like when I convert to AI the cutout guide becomes a raster and doesnāt scale nicely. Would I be able to trace the cutout guide and turn it into a vector layer somehow?
Basically, instead of cutting the holes manually, the print shop can use the guidelines to actually cut the artwork as itās being printed. A lot of large print shops can do this type of cutting with the right file type, so long as the guidelines are in a separate layer. The catch is that the file format must be in Illustrator .ai format or .eps, instead of .psd.
Finally got my baby painted and I officially got everything hooked up and running! Now I just want to get some better artwork made. What do you guys think? Thanks for answering all my questions along the way!
I saw something on Jasenās Customās fb page about making replacement panels for Kraylix kits. Surprised it hasnāt been mentioned here yet but itās something to get hype for for all the Kray owners out there.
Anyone interested in a replacement Control Panel Insert? I am looking to do a V4 metal panel so that you can have options for the layout beyond what Kray offers. It would require a small amount of work to prep the control panel for the metal panel, but it would be nice to have a 6 button layout or a hitbox layout, etc. I need a 1P layout since Ill be outfitting mine with a TaitoX2 and SF4
