It’s a Viewlix style cab at a significantly lower cost that doesn’t need a paint job, something I’d imagine many participants in this thread would be interested in. Kray’s cabinets are much, much nicer looking, probably more solid as well, but you’re talking $1235 painted for a 2 player setup versus $450 (minus shipping for both). Cost is a big factor for most people, and being able to buy something close to what you want is better than having to settle for drooling over something beyond your hobby budget- I figured it was worth sharing, in any case.
I’d like to see Kray build a control panel that features a swappable panel inside (something I could assist with with my metal endeavors). 1P or 2P. I just picked up a Taito Type X2 setup that I want to stick in mine with SF4 but the way that system is setup it’s a 1P only board. Seems silly to have a second set of sticks doing nothing. Having the option to “quickly” swap panels would add a huge dimension to the cabinet.
Did he modify the plans? It looks like 2 buttons are stock on the sides now and there are more holes for the speaker grills on the bottom!? I like!
and the money you spend doing a new control panel would bump up the price to a point where you might as well just get an actual cab. Or hell just get the control panel from Kray and still potentially save money overall.
Hey guys I have a question about how to hook up my speakers.
So I have my amp and my speakers hooked up and everything works but I’m stuck using the normal AV Cords to get sound to the amp because my Samsung TV doesn’t have audio out jacks. so my video quality sucks using the AV cords. Is there any way to use HDMI for video and component for sound? Or should I be hooking up everything a different way.
I hope that makes sense and thanks for the help in advance
For 360 have your HDMI connect to your TV. Then connect your audio 360 AV cable to your amp. In PS3 i believe you would have to go under the audio setting & deselect HDMI & choose audio input/scart/AV multi to get the sound to come out of your amp/speaker setup.
im using a 360 and my problem is there isnt enough space to plug in both my AV cord and my hdmi cable at the same time on my 360.
the av cord covers the only hdmi slot when plugged in. so its forcing me to use either just the hdmi or just the AV cords.
We’re not going to open the cab back up till we print some fresh art and buy some nicer screws… but today me and my roommate realized the sticks on the cabinet are mounted quite a bit higher than our other sticks.
What I mean is the neck of the stick is essentially taller.
Did I mount them incorrectly? I swear they dropped in an indent. I could easily imagine them having to be mounted from below though.
I bought mine used from another member, I noticed the same thing. When I looked at the panel, I didn’t notice anything off. Do we have to buy our own spacers?
Anyone know the website for the arcade cabinet that was being advertised during SCR 2014? Been looking for it. Was something like $499 for the cabinet.
