Anyone here bought a VEWLIX kit from KRAY?

Just used regular High grade gloss spray paint and as for the printed art work I designed it on Photoshop and had it printed at Kinkos on High Gloss Print paper(Control Panel, Move List, and Marquee was 49 dollars) Happs door http://www.happcontrols.com/coindoors/40071300.htmSmall Door and Frame Assembly for Home Arcade Cabinet
And LED light behind the coin slots to light up.

Thanks for the link on the coin door I ordered one for myself…

If you can could you post the PSD file of the movelist?

Also did you have to do anything special to the opening to get the coin door to fit?

Thanks

Nevermind on the movelist I see you already posted it earlier…

Thanks

Here my album photo of my Kray cabinet. From Day 1 to now.

Btw how you guy mount the stick on the panel? Which kind of screw?

what kind of media are u printed on? Photo gloss, vinyl?

Dirty, where did you get this and how is it powered?

Can somebody please answer this?

I’m just wondering how much extra time and $ would it cost me to put parts in the control panel and what would I need to do to make the control panel compatible with both consoles and the PC?

you can see on lizardlick.com that buttons are about $3/ea and joysticks are around $23. easiest way to get both consoles + pc would be to use a common ground madcatz 4716 + chimp

Thanks for answering so basically I’d need 2 of the 4716 and 2 chimps for the control panel? Plus the cost of the 2 JLFS and buttons. Hmmm I’m starting to think maybe I should just opt for the TE version. I love the way the control panel looks. I just don’t wanna spend a lot more than I need to for something that’s more or less a cosmetic issue. Decisions decisions lol.

It is about the same thickness as acetate…which is a little thicker than normal paper.I ordered mine from (http://www.ellightingchina.com/), it was custom made…so price shipping were a little expensive…(about 165.00), but I was willing to say fuck it…and try something on a gamble. It payed off…I got my artwork printed on photo back light paper…and it looks pretty sick. Just waiting on the cab…and all will be good.**

again…the website I bought this from was (http://www.ellightingchina.com/)…it’s power by a wire that is inside the panel along the edge. the bottom part of the panel has a little connect wire that I will drill a hole in the CP and drop the connector into and hook it up to the inverter AC unit it will plug into…that goes into the power strip…and BAM! back light Control Panel art.:woot:

You also go to sand, paint, & add art on it…Which time consuming & added cost but really its totally worth it.

The sanding and painting won’t be so bad for me. My Dad runs an auto body business so I have that covered. I’ll do most of the sanding and I’ll let him do the painting considering he has the experience lol. I know I’m fortunate in this situation what can I say? My main dilemma is deciding on the TE or control panel. I also am struggling on which artwork to use. Rcaido I can’t believe you are so down on how your cab looks that classic CPS look is awesome!!! I actually am thinking about having mine painted similar to what yours looks like.

well even if you decided to go the TE route. you would need 2 xbox360 TE, then buy 2 more chimps to make those multi console. TE sticks are like what, average $100 now? i have pieced all the parts for a 2player panel for less than what it would cost to buy the TE + chimps. unless you already have 2 spare 360 TE i would suggest getting the standard control panel. but thats just my opinion.

I actually do have 2 360 TE I’m just kinda hesitant on ā€œscrappingā€ them for parts for the control panel. Maybe that’s a harsh way of putting it? How much does the Chimp board run? I’m assuming I’d need 2 of them.

yes, you will need 2. one for each TE. chimp smd will run you $35 on lizardlick.com

edit: also, instead of madcatz pad + chimp i forgot you could just use the new pcb from Akihabarashop the PS360. it is ps3/360/pc

How much do those PS360 cost w/ shipping? Man that would have been a lot easier haha

My brother got one of those pcbs and it it took him five to ten minutes to get his stick working!!! I spent hours padhacking madcatz pcbs!?? U can get the mdktz pcbs on eBay cheap sometimes though(I paid 3 cents for one lol) if u look, I would have gone with the dual mod in a heart beat had I know!!!

Sorry for all the questions lol. If I buy 2 of the PS/360 PCB from Akihabara is there a lot of wiring involved? What I’ll end up doing if it’s not too complicated is buy my JLFS and buttons from Lizard Lick and then throw 2 of these PS/360S in the cab. I know nothing about wiring etc. So hopefully it’s easy to get these boards working lol. Also with this PCB I won’t need to use anything from my TE for parts since I’m buying dedicated JLFS and buttons for the control panel right?

no worries bro ive lurked a million hours on srk lol. those ps/360s are zero soldering all screw in! i mean they are the easiest pcbs to work on all you need to do is make up your wires to qdz and screw them in. your looking at 200 dollars though for a whole cp set up…

50 2 jlfs
30 pushbuttons
100 2 pcbs
30 misc wiring (usb,qdz,tools,etc)

my time is more valuable than money though so i would def go the way of the ps/360s…dual mod?!no work!? easy choice

Thanks for the help if it’s just basic wiring like putting the wires into place I guess that isn’t too much work for a novice such as myself. I guess I should just pony up the extra $ lol. I only am going to buy this once so I may as well do it right the first time right? I have a feeling if I buy the TE version later on down the road I’m going to regret not getting the control panel lol.

EDIT: I just used a currency calculator and each board is about $42 each not too bad. I’m sure with shipping tho it’ll add up to a little over $100. I’m so excited for this cab!!! It’s like getting that one thing you’ve wanted your entire life lol. So how long did it take most of you for painting, assembly etc.?

my biggest regret was not buying two of these @ the intro price and not getting the ps/360s ,depending on color of buttons u can find used tes for cheap on ebay an graigslist…fresh springs in a jlf will make it like new as long is the pcb is good. the srk trading post has real good deals on it for used arcade parts to save u a dolla holmes.and on that note…
