Just need an amp for the speakers and u can aux out the Pc to the amp.i use optic out on the hd components to a optic splitter, all optics in one optic out for organizing. The less wires down there the better.
So, Iāve been currently working on getting all my stuff together for when my Custom Kray Vewlix arrives at the end of the month or in January. I made a cabinet recently at our workā¦and it took forever, so Iām paying him to handle all my paint work.
I ended up scoring 2 of the PS360 pcbs for the cab, and got my JLF stick led wired up along with the buttons (2 leds will be on all ways, and 4 turned on when pressed). The stick led will always be on as well.
I finished the art for the Control panel, the command list panel, and the marquee. They are actually being silkscreened on a lexan plexi with back light film. I just ordered a custom cut EL Panel for the control panel so it will also be back lit as well.
should be sweet once everything gets into place. here are picks of the artā¦let me know what you guys think?
I went a different route in terms of the art being in my own styleā¦but with some gamer influences. (akuma/gouken fireball artā¦with ryu dragon punching the side.)
The colors were based of of the marvel versus capcom 3 scheme.
Anyway Iāll post more as my cabinet slowly starts to come together. Kray is the manā¦glad he could hook me up.

Wow Dirty D im speechless, thatās fucking awesome artwork you have there! Cant wait to see the final product!
Kali Pimpin shit looks sweetā¦Now im definitely not showing mine haha
@ rcaido⦠the paint was my first time , i followed the paint thread and krey instructions and it was pretty easy just a lot of sanding. Im sure its not to bad homeskilletā¦
Hey ,thanks for the art props! I figure some people would dig itā¦other probably not because it doesnāt have the original color set or vibe to it.
To answer you question in regards to getting my work printed, I had my boss hook me up with his friend who owns his own print company that specializes in all kinds of printing. (From ipods to airport kiosks). He offered me the help of gettnig this done after I showed him what it was for.
Anyway he gave me 3 options:
**1.)The easiest way is to do a full color solvent print, put a gloss lam on it and apply it to white acrylic that is thick enough to diffuse the light source. **
**2.)Another way is to actually print onto a back lit film material- and then apply that to the face- or backside of an acrylic substrate. This is how most of those advertising Kiosks you see in cities and airports are done. The backing acrylic is Lexan and acts as a light box that the film just lays on top of.
**
**3.)The last way is a bit more difficult but give you a super glossy finish. You reverse print your image onto clear vinyl, which is then applied to the back of clear acrylic. You then back the whole print with white vinyl. This way gives you the gloss of the acrylic as the face of the print (it also protects it). **
I chose option 3 for various reasons, mainly because I want this be scratch resistant and the ability to back light it well. The marquee and command list panels will be back lit by a regular 27 in florescent bulb with a frost cover. If you use the bulb without the cover it will blow out the colorsā¦and I donāt want that. He will be handling all my new plexiglas hole cuts as well as applying the art to the glass for me. All I have to do is bolt these guys on.
Iām still waiting on what itās going to cost going this routeā¦Iām sure a little bit of changeā¦but I hope he can cut me a deal since Iām a friend of a friendā¦weāll see. Iāll keep you posted.
My Custom cut EL Panel for my control panel will be arriving next week from chinaā¦so another piece of the puzzle before the big stuff comes in. whoo hoo!
Hey Kray or anyone else do you have a .psd for the templates of the CP, marquee and the movelist areas?
Yeah, Kray posted this a while back on page 8 of this threadā¦basically why I started early on my designs.

Ok I downloaded that file but it wont open with photoshop. Am I doing something wrong, do I need to do something else to the file?
I just sent it to your e-mail at your website. PNG format attached.
Dirty D who did you find to make the EL panel?
Well manā¦to start offā¦I got the idea from VMS who posted his stick mod a while back while I was looking for ways to light my control panel. Look at his thread to see what he did. (pretty sweet)
http://shoryuken.com/f177/high-end-artwork-mod-2-electroluminescent-panel-216021/
After seeing his, I thought about what I wanted to do in terms of the artā¦and I really wanted to make my art POP and come off more vibrant and less graphic. I did some ornate design to blend the 2 designs together.
In his thread he suggested the GLOW HUT for a place to buy the EL Panelā¦but for me it would take 2 A4 sheets to light my panel and I would actually have to cut the holes myself.
here is the site : EL Panel
But I ended up finding a site that is based in China. I sent an inquiry to a man named Iris who is the owner and asked if they did custom jobs and if they could design the EL Panel 8*27 in size, I sent the spec mock-ups and explained what it was for. We went back and forth in the e-mailsā¦he had some broken English, but I was able to understand enough to get things under way.
El Lighting China: http://www.ellightingchina.com/EL+Backlight-china/EL+Backlight-EL+Backlight+A4+Size-67/
I ended up getting the custom panel done for 75$ ā¦plus fast rate shipping and additional 75 to have by this week. and it includes the inverter and AC unit. I got to pay with PAYPAL ā¦so I pretty happy with how the transaction went so far.
Iāll post pics next week when it comes in.
I have a question, and Iām feeling really newbish about this lol.
When I open up that .png in photoshop it looks just like it does if you open it up outside of photoshop. Its so small that you cant read it and how am I supposed to add art to it.
Im used to getting like layers or something to work with. Im stupid confused on how to work with that file.
Like I said really newbish. Any help would be awesome.
Sorry manā¦PNG file should have workedā¦it just has a alpha channel so you could add it into any PSD.
Anyway, I just sent you a PSD file with it layered on a black background. You should be good to go! Just add your art in between both layers and you are set my man. Itās a 300 dpi file so it should be the correct size.
sent to your website e-mail
Kali,
Good choice of color it matches your wall. I see you put some pin strips on the arms. I started doing that also. It hide the edges of the the two color where it met allot better.
Dirty D,
Very impress with your art work! Can wait to see you El panel.

Custom Vewlix: Working on New Kit (KLX stand)
Hey Kray,
WOW!! That looks better than I expected. Alot better than I expected. I love the new legs. Is there enough foot room at the bottom?
It looks awesome!!!
Steve
There is plenty of room for your foot. The KLX stand will have more foot room than my clone vewlix with two player at it.
It doesnāt take up alot of room at all. I know you wanted to shorten the foot where it extent, I try but the Z legs didnāt looks proportional with the cabinet so I left it alone. It look like it extended out alot only because the bottom depth is smaller than the top.
Looks great, Iām looking forward to try to get on the pre-order for something like the KLX stand.
Are you going to be able to offer something like this with the control panel built in (so a stick isnāt needed, and one could just add buttons/sticks)?
And whatās the slot in the LCD stand for, cable management and to feed it down to the back of the unit?
Yes the slot is run the cable down to bottom.
I will offer stand alone stick simialr to the VLX stick. I want to make it stand alone so other can use their own stick on the KLX stand also.
