Meaningful complexity can only come from player interaction and the players have only had the game a few days. That’s like saying MW3 is a more complex game than Quake 3 or Unreal because they don’t have a perks system.
Ironically I feel that SFV is more about flipping coins than SFIV. Not saying it’s a bad thing but you need to gamble in the game if you want to win.
That’s why characters with strong space control like Chun Li look so strong. She doesn’t need to commit as heavily as most of the rest of the cast.
One thing about fadc though is that when using certain characters it actually made sense.
makoto and dudleys transition and hugo was not too shabby : /
Being able to do certain things in the 4th one, will be missed tho that armor into reset will be missed but still, there’s vtrigger for variety
I like that the combos in this game are rather simple. It feels like old school street fighter without CCs and FADCs and none of those 1 frame links that everyone complained about in SFIV. And it’s nice that in this day and age with many games are combo heavy, we get a game that isn’t. I did enjoy stomp combos with Evil Ryu and all of Oni’s combos and the beast crMK EX FB FADC Ultra. Yeah, I thought it was hype at times but I do like that it’s gone from SFV. Longer combos are all either Supers/EX moves/or V trigger.
Then what are you saying? That they are going to add combos as DLC? Or that the game will magically get deeper over time? Don’t see that happening. Remember people have been playing this game for months now. And this barebones starter pack is sold for full price, it deserves to be shit on, you are just a fanboy if you think this game is good value.
I feel like there is so much less BS going on in SF5 than SF4. Like I would get salty from BS in SF4 but when I lose in SF5 I don’t get that feeling at all because this game is just more honest.
The short combos don’t bother me at all. I actually find them more fun because they do more damage than the longer combos from SF5.
The best part about SF5 to me is how little f’ing jabs you see. It’s mainly mediums and heavies, which is why the damage is so ripe. My favorite combo right now with Ryu is f.FP, cr.FP, v-tribber, cr.FP, fierce SRK, super. It does some good damage and uses nothing but heavies in the combo.
I do wish they still got rid of some input shortcuts. I’ve done Ryu’s super probably 8 times on accident trying to just do an SRK that has cost me matches.
Do you not see the vast differences between New Generation, 2nd impact, and 3rd Strike? Alpha 1, 2 and 3? SFIV-USFIV? They don’t just add new characters, they’ve included plenty of upgrades to the core mechanics, as well as rebalancing characters.
Honestly, there’s no way you’re this ignorant to go so far as to ignore other posts in this thread, so I’m just going to give you the benefit of the doubt and say you’re trying to troll me. If not, then your stupidity knows no bound.
Oh you mean like footsies where the hit box is so off the guys leg goes through my sprite? Or sweet storyline? Or other modes where you don’t have to play 90% shito clowns getting rolled back so hard I can’t jump a fireball? Or like maybe customization for my character( guess I could grind for 10 hours to get 7 lovely palette swaps…but please enlighten me? Or nah I’ll just return this dumpster fire.
