I’m only now coming to grips with this.
How is it tedious? Compared to what? SFV, the game that is slower, lamer and where every character plays very similarly?
Second, 1 frame links weren’t necessary at all, but you could learn them to maximize your damage and it rewarded your hard work and practice for doing so. If you didn’t have the execution to do Guile’s cr.lp>cr.mp>flash kick you could always just do cr.lp>cr.lp>flash kick and many players did just that. Loads of characters didn’t need to learn 1 frame links at all, and that’s totally fine, because people with not so great execution could use Ryu while people who want a technical, execution heavy character could play someone like C. Viper. SFIV and its expansions had characters for EVERYONE hardcore and casual alike. In SFV, everyone’s combos are not only stupid easy, but very limited compared to SFIV in the way you can personalize your combos. SFV has nothing like FADC which, as much as people complain about DP cancels, added a whole new dimension to the combo system.
Yep. When you face a character like Karin it feels like you’re playing the same person over and over again.
Sometimes I feel like Capcom took the “Flowchart Ken” meme to heart and just decided to make everyone in SF5 actually follow a flowchart.
Oh well. Urien will arrive soon so I have that to be super-hype about.

Nah, I’m still loving SF5 – it’s too bad there’s a lot of guys who don’t like it - but hey, everyone’s got their opinion.
I lost motivation to play SF4 at a certain point. I just got sick of it. It was still fun to watch sometimes, though.
Its funny because I could probably make a list of all the things that bother me about SF5 and nobody would bat an eye. You mention some of the hilariously dumb shit that you dealt with in 4 and people suddenly lose their minds.
Like damn, I love SF2 in all of its iterations. I’ve dealt with a hilarious amount of bullshit. I can mention the amount of bullshit in those games and it is that: bullshit. Don’t lose your minds because your favorite games fucked up some things. All of the SF games have some crazy shit to them that’s dumb; that’s just how it goes.
Anyways, what do you guys think about this?
I’ve had about a dozen people on the west coast confirm this works. Not sure if I want to risk some form of penalization for it, but PC players have been abusing something similar for a while and the capcops have not executed anyone yet.
I think it’s very unlikely for Capcom to punish this, but since I’m not interested in any of the hard survival colors I’ll pass.
I want to do this but this may be seen as hacking and could potentially get your PSN accounts banned.
