Any word on ps3 stick support yet?

I’m not defending anyone or taking any sides, I’m simply saying it’s the smartest business move for them to not say anything and I understand why they are doing it. I’m also saying it’s not dishonest to not divulge information.

I can make rational decisions/thoughts without getting my feelings involved, something you clearly can’t do.

Smart business move? That worked out so much for them in the past. Capcom is not a Company that does “smart” business moves exactly…otherwise they wouldn’t of had some much trouble in the past. A company with many controversial decisions in media and a high turnover rate of great developers…But besides that many people would say smart business moves is by being a great company with quality product, service, with a great value. There are many different business moves, there’s is not just the one…as clearly backed by past endeavors Capcom is not great at making them anyhow.

And them revealing whether the game will have driver support 2 weeks before release is not some kind of business move that would tank the business. This is not revealing the secret ingredient in some high selling sauce here. You really do think they will lose millions on revealing this kind of information? Some rationale you got there buddy. And the fact you are so adamant in defending them without any real insight on why they do what they do, none of us do actually. But you actually think your not getting your feelings involved is laughable.

When did I say they will lose millions on revealing this information?

You sure do put a shitton of words into people’s mouths.

I actually did give insight as to why I think they are keeping quite and why I think it’s the best business decision to make, and I even think that they will have PS3 stick support at launch. But you’re so blinded by your anger and your emo stance that you decided to glance over it.

Again, i’m putting words into peoples mouths? Funny you say that because you actually put words in peoples mouths…literally “HEY THIS SHOULD MAGICALLY WORK IN ANY USB PORT HERP DERP!” nobody ever said anything about how we should just plug in play…the whole topic is about “driver support” so it made no sense for you to bring such an asinine argument…Clearly it is you a blind rage defending your beloved game/company here…anyone who does a “herpderp” voice is also automatically in rage mode.

Except I never said you said that.

Try reading without the tears in your eyes and maybe you will see what I actually typed.

What I said was…

Maybe that applies to you maybe it doesn’t.

But cry moar.

Cronus Max allows macros, it is tourney banned. Also there are tales of it physically breaking USB ports due to heft. Pass.

Nobody here said any of that either… even the topic says “stick support” since everyone here seems intelligent enough to know what “drivers” are …and it was obviously about me until you called me out in “putting words in your mouth” when you been guilty of it this whole time… but since i called you out on being a hypocrite, now you’re just backpedaling since i caught you with your pants down and trying to scrap up something to justify your argument.

Also, “Cry moar”? Do you really expect me to think you’re not at all raging here?

You seem so adamant in having the last word edgewise to something that matters literally nothing to you to those who are wondering if it will have stick support or not. Not gonna be the end of the word for us if it does not but you clearly have to chime in. I’ll let you have the last say on the matter and won’t bother responding since this will obviously go on forever since you’re being annoying about it… I mean maybe you’re Markman which is why your taking such a hostile stance on the matter? Would explain alot.

Brooks converters allowed at EVO.
Padhacking if you can solder
Brooks Fightboard or Universal board both come solderless(Fightboard if you buy the solderless version)
Or wait for Hori sticks to go on sale on Amazon for around $120
Or buy the PC version of SFV and won’t have to worry about a PS4 stick
Or keep complaining about businesses trying to make money, maybe they are greedy maybe they aren’t, no ones forcing you to buy Mad Catz products.

If they are going to allow PS3 sticks on PS4, they probably have a marketing agreement with MC preventing them from advertising it prior to launch. MC wants to sell new sticks and Capcom wants co-marketing dollars. It’s not great for consumers, but it is a sound business strategy for both parties.

I get this, and maybe people should temper their expectations. But SFV is using the exact same control and button layout as SFII did in 1991.

What the hell does the in game button layout/functionality have to do with the implementation of a driver to allow for specific controllers to be used within the game?

OK, I’m not as tech savvy as most people on here are. But I have two controllers that have six buttons and a joystick that work with a game made by Capcom on my PS4 called Ultra Street Fighter IV. Now there’s another game made by Capcom that has the exact same control scheme. That game is called Street Fighter V. Sweet! I have two controllers that have six buttons and a joystick, which happen to be exactly what I need to make Ryu shoot fireballs.

Guess what else! I had a game called Super Smash Bros Melee for the GameCube. Then, when I got my Wii, I could put that tiny disk into it and plug my GameCube controller in and it worked! Oh, and then another Smash game came out Super Smash Bros Brawl for the Wii, and guess what! I could plug my GameCube controller in and it STILL WORKED!

Why should I expect anything different from Street Fighter? The buttons are the same. The control scheme is the same. The controller I have works on the console I have on a game made by the same company. Didn’t seem that hard for the company to implement the driver for V if they’ve already done it for IV.

But really, I was just being a smartass by saying that the way we interact with Street Fighter from a controller standpoint hasn’t changed in 25 years and it shouldn’t be that hard for old tech to work with a new game if it’s already been done in the past.

That all said, I already preordered my TE2+, because fuck those old sticks. I want the new shit.

Well the new trailer doesn’t mention stick support, lack of content and endless modes would suggest if you dont even have the core features then it’s likely they wont have stick support.

I looked into brooks converter and someone told me they got pushed back till march because the last ps4 firmware update rendered them useless… i guess that’s a thing, that makes me not optimistic about any converters in the future.

I’ll be looking into HORI Real Arcade Pro 4 Kai for PlayStation 3/4 rather than Madkatz. I prefer Hori as it’s more afordable and Madkatz seem to be charging you 50+ more bucks just to have SFV faceplates. Yeah…i’m a SF fan but not 50-80 bucks extra kind of fan. I owned 2 madkats standard and te for ps3 i remember one crapped out i think? the Hori i have still holding strong. I think Hori is the way to go…will wait a week before release until i get one just in case they say something.
