1 - Yes I did argue a lot… early on thats all I did… but it was mostly because I was taking everything so seriously… every comment… every snide remark about gay people… now I dont really give a damn… I mean of course I still speak up when I feel its important… but on the internets… not so much LOL

2 - My sign up date is legit… I was actually a moderator for the forums for 24 hours then it was removed… possibly due to something by Akumachan LOL I miss A Chan… she still around?

4 - Mixah I didnt make this… I did make animated ones back in the day but this was made by BlodiaVulcan… I know he had some help but thats the person that I talked to about making it… I love it

8 - Sharktongue, around the time I stopped showing up for tourneys is around the time I lost interest… when the scene started dying so did my reason to show up… I liked the games, but loved the community

Well, I believe, as far as we take it everything pre 04 was amazing. 04 and on just sucked balls. Here’s some stuff that some of you might not know:

• Southern Hills Golf Land (RIP)
• Whoever placed top 3 was only comended, now it’s whoever places top 8 or 16 which is just toal balls
• APEX: How ranbats got started (This needs to come back)
• Evo was still arcade based
• Good comp in your local arcade no matter what time you went
• Rumors that Ricky Ortiz was gay and people wondering how someone like him could be top in the fighting game scene (epic)
• SRK used to let you have HUGE AVs and you could only post an AV after you had your first 100 posts
• Ponder and Inkblot posted way more on SRK
• The fighting game scene was still growing

That’s all I can think of for now but hopefully more people can shed some light. Hopefully the fighting game scene starts growing once again since all these new fighters are coming about.

Well I spend a lot of time on the sci fi boards and some of the other various science related websites and they dont have a timer and they have no spam…

I am not saying that all the website are alike… but I dont think that the timer turns away the spammers more than just slows down how fast they can spam LOL

I am guessing the mods still have to keep an eye out for those abusing the system and not really discussing anything…

• I remember the silly threads like “talk about the person above you”… those still happen?

edit: as far as being lax, content wise SRK is pretty lax i don’t really post on any other forums but everytime i have i end up offending somebody inadvertently and getting a warning from the mods that “we don’t tolerate that sort of verbal abuse” lol.
