This is probably my favorite and most memorable moment of SRK/Tournament scene. This is back when Majors made the front page, and when Justin won ECC–my goodness did the west coast hate unleash.
The hype coming into MWC was so big. All I kept hearing was, “There’s no way he’ll win MWC.” or “He might do some damage, but Alex (Valle) will take him.” The west coast knew they were all going to laugh at East Coast for heralding Justin.
But when MWC came around, no one could deny how sick (at the time) the kid was. I just remembering everyone at the tournament said “That’s Justin Wong!??!” His appearance wasn’t so intimidating. But, I believe someone had a nice streak on Marvel, and then Justin comes up and dominates him with Marrow/Tron.
And we all know what happened next at B5:Same Speculations. Same hate. Same results.
This is random, but I remember your very first post in GD, when you had the GOOGLE avatar and everything. I remember thinking “that’s the best gimmick ever.” 
That is kind of random. I also have 26 referrals because of my name.
Nismor screamed “Hawaii” after beating Choi! He turned out to be good, though he didn’t use Ken.
