I always post on these nostalgia threads to see my 2000 join date and see who remembers me from the little I posted back then.
My claim to fame was beating White Knight in EVO2K2. Now THAT was a nice bit of SRK drama, almost as good as Golden Nismoor coming from Hawaii to take 5th at B5.
I still have the one of my boy M.D.N getting beatdown by Duc’s Team Shoto!
As much of a spammer as he was, he was much more hilarious playing against him. In person, the guy was just as annoying and opiniated, and was the first to talk shit the second he was losing. My favorite memory of him was when we’d play MvC2, he’d bring his wife/gf/whatever to the arcade, and make her sit and watch him. The looks of sheer boredom on her face was classic
So many lives ruined…so many good times had.
And yeah, Kelo was awesome. I remember I was playing him at Nickel once and he mashed out of my hypergrav xx tempest and was mashing so hard he AHVB’d me. Guy just walked away from the machine and laughed the whole time. He didn’t even want to play anymore after that, he was a winner. What a great man.

It’s like prison.
The guy who ran the Jerry’s or whatever it was two doors down must have loved us. Once a month we shot his Saturday sales through the roof. I remember him staying open past eleven several times to let the GT people grub.

I LOVED that pizza place… he would probably make a weeks sales in one nite… and that place had the best food ever… or least it tasted good after you were starving from playing SF all day… LOL
