Ive got around 9000 bp and am currently 22nd hakan in the world and 8th in america.
But I have to admit that it can be frusterating because there are times when I get up to 9500 and then it goes back down to 9000 and I am just at that hump right now.
Oh and this is on XBL btw.
FWI I am down for matches with anyone who wants to play but I usually am only on later at night (after around 9pm aka after work)
good god you guys. My Hakan is only 2500 bp lolz. Took so much to get that many points. I lost like 2300 PP!!! using him. No fun playing as him facing so many turtles and shitty spammers. I get my ass handed with really good players so scrubs are the only ones I can really beat lolz. But my PP is back to 2300+ now thanks to my Gief and Hawk. I really wanna learn Hakan but damn whenever I play on ranked everyone I play against just frustrates me cuz all they do is run and turtle and just jump back and kick . . .
Don’t worry Azn, put in the time and effort into Hakan and you’ll see results. Hakan is definitely a thinking man’s character. You have to stay a step ahead of the opponent to do damage, but Hakan’s specialty is making the opponent pay after one good read.
To beat turtlers, oil up and do dash in HP Oil Rockets. Slide FADNC’s.
To beat people who jump back, lead them into the corner. Throw out one good j.MP into slide and get them in your mix-up game. Keep them there. Make them pay.

Using haken, I have reached 8150 BP. However, I have a bit of problem going higher than that and it’s been a week that my BP fluctuate around 8000. Facing players who have more than 3000pp or characters like cammy, bison, balrog, I always have trouble for blocking too much and they keep me guessing between block, grab or jab or jump. Those characters have very tight combo strings and if they combine with occasional grab in between their combo, I find a bit hard to win.
Wildcat815 has the best Hakan I know.

its been a long journey but i finally got B+ rank with my hakan. doing this is by far hardest thing i have ever done in my life. going to try and go for an A rank now.
Okay, I still got a B+ rank (7000 BP), but I finally got up to 5000 PP using Hakan!!!
Finally had an epiphany in the Viper match-up, I l2b’d, lol.

You can get your grades higher faster, if you win more and better, e.g. Ultra David had only around 3000 BP but was already at B+. Of course, back then, nobody knew how to fight Hakan and David was already dang good.

What I’m talking is the exception and not the rule. I’m aware, that typically you have to wait until 10000 to get a B+, and you can look in the rankings and see for yourself… CaptainROCKET has only 7000 BP but still has a B+. Ultra David was the same way, except with even lower BP.

Ive been maining Hakan since I jump from ps3 to 360. My only frustration is his AA. f+mp and hp is all good but when some 1 really agressive and there no ultra 2 ready all I can do it block, focus, hp or foward mp. I wish he had a kick like ryu guile or even goken. I am currently a C+ working my way to a B.
