if you wanna be an ass and be cheap you can do that cable thing where you push block and AHVB during the HSF

or you can use strider/doom since sent is so big

rushdown characters own sentinel especially if they have an anti-air assist and a progectile assist

the only reason storm has a chance against sent is because she can run if her or magneto try that rushdown bullshit on sent they get smacked the fuck out

only person whos got any thing on sent is cable and still if sent can land 1 air combo thats like half his life more if yur in the corner or u dhc into somehting nasty like hailstorm

anyways, like mentioned above, cable and storm can fight sent pretty evenly, and well, sent vs sent becomes a flying gh3y fest…:lol:

On the Ec it’s becoming much harder to beat a great magneto with a sentinel…anywhere else?

i’d say its even…just for the fact that if sentinel is played right he can stop magneto in his tracks sometimes…it works both ways though.

i guess u could say it might be slighted toward magneto a lil bit for the simple fact that once mag is in…he is in to stay…that usually leads to an infinite snapback GB

depends in the players really…if the magneto player is better than the sentinel player…or if the sentinel player is better than the magneto player…2 case scenerios

  1. magneto gets in, infinite, snapback AAA, GB, peace out or
  2. sent hits magz with a combo, or eats a couple of fierces, then GGPO

either way, the fight will get very ugly…but i still give sent the advantage simply because of the damage factor(duh)…but it still depends on the skill level of the players…or if the sent player can’t play worth a damn.:lol:

I agree with vinny on this.

The Mag player would have to be very experienced with Magneto in order to win this match. Where as Sentinel can be ok and still do great damage.

Sent has the advantage here, but Magneto is capable of winning this match.

Cable is Sentinels worst match-up.

That’s why Magneto/Cable/Sentinel is so good. Rowtron is too powerful. Fastflies with Magneto hurt! :smiley: But then again, my Anti-Sentinel team would be MSP. :smiley: Either that or Storm/Cable/Doom or Cyclops or Captain Commando.

Most of the problem with this match-up is that in close magneto’s moves beat sentinels and it’s possible to infinite him from pretty much anywhere now. That shit and some personal tricks and i’m gonna say it’s 50/50 which is much better than before:D

you’re right mixup. You have to know when to attack. attacking a flying sent isnt to smart. i would say from experience that you have to know when to attack. i mean mags attacks come out way faster than sents. and after a sent fierceflyunfly,infinites are available. and watch for the AAA. because that hurts like hell.
but i must say sometimes its good to drop down from up top on sent too. that works sometimes. peace. post comments.

I agree with most of your post, but I dont think its smart to (drop) down on Sentinel, especially when hes flying, unless your Iron Man i guess. Fierce has so much priority its not even funny. What I normally do with Magnus, other than wishing i get a hit, is wait for sent to fly from the ground, quickly rush under him and infinite into unmashable tempest <— depending on who’s your assist. But yeah i feel hopeless against Sentinel/AAA. You can also try snapping and killing Sent’s main AAA if he has one and then its a piss load easier to kill him.

How exactly does Strider/Doom kick sent’s ass? Rocks cover Strider if Sent goes Fly/Unfly and Strider can rush in and trap for free?

the way they kill sent is that lets say your playing the main strider/doom team which is sent/strider/doom…your playing with sent, your sent gets low on life…so you DHC to strider, well, the HSF keeps whoever in place long enough for strider to start the trap. and the reason strider/doom kills sent is because once sent gets caught in the trap, he has one of two options…die…or counter, and if he has no meter…he is going to die more than likely. It takes LESS to kill him because he gets the full effect of the rocks n orbs since he is so big, AND it is ALOT harder for him to escape since he is so tall.

whens it comes to strider doom it matters on the skill level of the players. i think a good sent can avoid the trap sometimes just by sents attacking range. he can lock strider down with a variety of moves. but again, it depends on the players. If its clockw0rk with strider doom then your in for something else.

i have decent sent…i play with mixup every day. His strider doom is soooo nasty:mad:. Its no clockwork or anything(but then again there is only one clockwork), but i just cannot play sent against that. From start to finish you cannot get away from strider/doom.

You only play sent on scrubby strider/doom. Mainly due to the fact that a scrubby strider doom wont know how to rape sent with the teleport:(

well it depends what assist sent has. Since sent can lock down strider easy. unless the strider/doom player can guard cancel. then your in trouble.
