strider vs sentinel is a HARD match for strider unless strider has some kind of assist that limits Sentinels flying like cykes AAA.
sentinel drones or dooms AAA is not going to stop sentinel from flying in on strider nor is it really going to stop him from flying back or laser xx flight.
it is also very hard for strider to pin down sentinel without either him or his assist taking some damage.
i’ll say a decent sentinel can beat a decent strider. sentinel can just trade damage at the right moments with strider and come out on top.
so far, cable is the only counter against Sentinel. back then its said that cyclops beat sentinel but against a fly back sentinel, cyke couldnt even touch him.
Mag can just dash in and watch for an open then INfin to the corner then dash forward Magnetic Tempest(it’ll be hard for your opponent to mash out of it),or do some crossup and continue the infinite(sj lk,lk).If Sent is dash back ,Mag can just dash in then sj(must be fast)dash foward Hp,FK,then poke with lp then start TRi J(HK).Sent will eventually going to start a keepaway game.So,when sent sj’s dash under cross him up or try to dash back and forth and land the rom infin.Sent can’t really do anything since sent’s moves aren’t that fast enough to beat mag’s moves.Unless the mag players are stupid and tried to chase after Sent in the air,then Sent’s moves will smack mag back down(Frying and Stomp).A sent players need an anti to vers a mag player(If the mag players are newbs,then no need for an anti.)
It depends on how good the two players are really.But if the two players are at the same levels of skill.Then i still going to be on Mag’s side:) .Sent just doesn’t have the moves to beat mag.CR,FP is worthless once you keep doing it.Same goes for Unfly/Fly.Mag has the advantage because of his DASH>>>.So…In the end,it depends on the players.
Strider/Doom > Sent. Strider/Doom locks Sent down because he’s so big, and HSF is no good because Doom is safe while you call Ouroboros, teleport, infinite.
my anti sent team, and what most people around me play against him is either. MSP. or team row. you either have to rush it down and keep him from calling an assist, and wait to get a hit in. or keepaway cable while baiting.
doom is a good assist i think. but if you mess up once. sent will take him out like nothing.
Well, by what I’ve experienced, the Strider/Doom trap is extremely cheap, and life chipping power just kills my Sent to puke. Strider isn’t all that great by himself, but with Doom and if Strider has meters to back him up, he’s extremely powerful.
Yes, it does depend on the level of gameplay and how good of a Strider/Doom player you are, but Sentinel does have an extremely difficult time trying to get out of the trap once it’s been done, but done correctly.
Anybody have strats for MST against Sent/Capcom? I’ve decided that MSP is no good against team scrub, so I figured I’d switch Psylocke for Tron for that team.
Sentinel seems to be more dominate in most areas of marvel now, this has to be put to a stop, how can this machine be stoped? He always seems to stomp me into a corner, even when I’m blocking he finds a way to slipp in one lp or lk and it takes away half my life or more. He’s a very stressing character to fight and he’s even more stressing when he chips you down with HSF+some projectile assist. What kind of types or advice can you guys give me on handling a sentinel player better?
Use Dhalsim… read my thread. Practice, then escape like every damn HSF and put the pressure back on his big clunky ass. (and remember not to get owned by CapCom assist).
So, yea… as far as HSF stuff… Sim can c.lk slide under the drones. You can guard cancel to get to those slides from pretty much any particular block string, and if you have Sent-a, you can either super jump out after the first wave, or airdash just offa the ground just after wave two (“magically” going through wave 3)… either way, putting hte pressure back on him.
I need help with guard cancel. I know u pushblock then put stick in neutral, but when do u know when to sj out of HSF? What is the sign when I’m able to sj out?
I try to push block the first wave but how do I get out? Any advice would be appreciated. thanks and I have read all the prev threads and I mean all.
