Anti Denjin Ryu question

he knows more about the grammar game than you will ever do.

Fm is a dope guy but you’re comparing apples and oranges.

If it really was that easy to parry after blocking the fireball then players wouldn’t be doing that setup. :stuck_out_tongue:

What more is there to say about this. The fact that you see it happen is reason enough to know that there’s not some super easy way out of it. People do get out of it but just as often they don’t.

I know, I’m just super late to the party. No internet at home does this to a man. ;(

Its not about knowing how to parry it but knowing how to READ YOUR STUN BAR and how many hits can stun you. Once you can do that and also ANALYZE the distance and proper timing of each hit, you reduce the mindgame to 50/50 (is he going to delay the timing or not?)

Denjin is always an inconsistent super. Its a double-edged weapon. You just need to play smart.

Whos FM? never heard of him.

Then I am sorry, you do not know third strike.

i tried searching but i cant find any videos of an FM player. if hes at least a good/decent player, he should have some vids up on youtube.

I am professor Shin Sho

Haha wasn’t directed at you. Just meant like…what you said is all there is to say really in addition to what’s been said. Timing is awkward and if the setup is correct it’s not a simple situation you’re stuck in.

Yeah I’ve been stuck having to drive 20 minutes to the library to go online for a few months before. I survived though.

unless you guys are talking about this FM…

LBR vs. FM in a Denjin match?

LBR for $20.

This is JuanFM, who for the past few years has been working on evolving the Frankie3s, random rushdown style at Denjin. This video is actually a really bad example of how good he is. He just doesn’t play that often and doesn’t have very many vids recorded:

I think that you’re claiming to be the best denjin in the U.S. because you’re that confident in your overall technical 3s skills, but I still don’t believe that you’re better than him with Denjin. Maybe SAI or II, but not Denjin.

I’d be willing to cover that bet, Andrew

Yeah ive seen this guy play before. I think someone here posted these matches before. he seems pretty decent-good but not enough vids of him playing.

if we’re talking about strictly denjin game play and setups and knowledge, then im gonna have to say im the strongest in the U.S. of course, if you include technical 3s skills, someone with more exp can randomly choose denjin ryu who is their secondary or 4th character and still kick my ass without doing anything fancy or even using the super.

if you include both aspects, its tough to say what people mean by the better denjin ryu. mirror matches dont really prove anything besides who knows and adapts into ones style better with better matchup knowledge. the loser in the mirror match can also do better against other people/chars than the winner.

Denjin is one of the most simple supers in the game. Even the most “fancy” setup is what?
Not much technical stuff to really know…

Also the apples and oranges comment was regarding your comparison to vanao and fm.

Fm is cool and he knows how to play denjin ryu. It would be fun to play a first to 5 but I have no desire to mm anyone.

Juan’s biggest problem is that he goes for the parry way too much, IMO. It’s been instilled in his playstyle.

Denjin isn’t one of the most simple supers man. It’s one of the few supers in the game where creativity is involved.

Precision and timing is so important. You can’t simply say fireball denjin. You need a good knockdown, proper execution, solid gameplan to create stun before releasing it and plenty more.

By fancy I mean blockstring setups and other ways to intentionally fill up your meter gauge and threaten a second denjin. You need to know when to sacrifice a denjin stun for a 95% stun instead to create comeback situation. You need to analyze their stun meters well and create openings.

When you land srk>denjin midscreen from the corner, you need to learn how to rotate the stick precisely so that all 5 hits are released on opponents wake up OR tech roll. It takes a lot of skill for that. Most people will throw it too fast or too slow.

What I mean is an overall more exp player can play fundamentally and still win without anything fancy like blockstrings setups. They can just play basics and win.

Agree to disagree I guess.
I think denjin is extremely simple. In fact, denjin ryu is my go to “I’m 7 beers deep and a little drunk” character.

my 7 beers feelin it char is dr. shinsho

indeed, I think it was edma who said that denjin was like the most skill less super in the game, and I can only agree
