Chip damage kinda matters to some extent. It doesn’t leave grey health I believe.
If you have patience and a good fireball game, one thing auto block cant do is hurt you.
It still messes with a lot of characters’ playstyles. I’ve been running Sagat/Marduk for this. Zangief works too. Sagat plays keepaway and tags Marduk in when his defense has been breached. Marduk will grab your assist gem abusing ass in 4 frames and punish you for jumping away from him.
Thats what it comes down to, I can agree it is a major p in the a, but the best players will find a way to win.
But will they have fun doing it?
That is the question.
Usually winning is fun, and I can see finding creative ways to open up someone with an autoblock gem enabled being fun.
Hence this thread!
Sounds dumb but run gief and marduk.
My strat is to whinge to Seth et al on Twitter.
my strategy is to just whip my wang out and start fapping on them. seriously. what the fuck are you gonna do if someone just starts beating their meat in your general direction mid match? probably sit there and take it.
Especially if you make unbroken eye contact.
I usually mix between Marduk / Zangief / Heihachi for dealing with this [S]cheaters[/S] auto-block users. Marduk and 'gief can withstand a bit of punishments spinning back fist and ex-running grab, while I mostly try to avoid fireballs with Heihachi or 'gief.
Let me tell you the bassics of what you need for dealing with this guys:
1.- TIME: There is no shame in winning by a timeout. And yes, I know it takes away most of the fun but that is not your fault since a win is a win. Next comes the keys for winning by timeout.
2.- PATIENCE: You need to WAIT for an opening or a misstep to attack, don’t rush in since you know you will fall into a deathtrap.
3.- BABYSTEPS: Just one hit at a time! Since they are (usually) extra cautious and keep their distance with fireballs or safe hits. Remember NOT to rush, since depending in how skilled they are, they will try to lure you into a frametrap.
4.- GRAB: As soon as we get close we are used to start a combo, so DON’T do that. If you are close enough, just punish with a grab and wait. And the last point…
5.- STAY SHARP: When they realize that the timeout will be on your favor, they will try to break you with that jump-over-and-hit-you-from-behind BS. So stay sharp for knowing when to turn your defense. If you are skilled on anti aerials you can try to shake them off with that, but i preffer not to do that since they usually pick a char that have priority on that cheap move, like Ryu, Asuka or Guile. Don’t try to jump and win the hit, since apparently those 3 chars have priority on the hitbox.
As far as I’m going, this are the tips that have worked for me against auto-block. At least in my case, Zangief’s headbut works well vs the cheap trick of point 5, but i suggest to go to practice, record your dummy to do that play and check which of your moves can deal against that.
This is working for me, you guys give this strategy a try and thank me later. Good Luck everyone.
^ that’s a nice strategy against scrubs m8. There are good players who use autoblock as well
heres what you do.
- Get really mad. like really really mad, like tellin 9 yr old noobs about how you and his or her mom had sex last night mad.
- write salty messages about how terrible the feature is.
- sit there and not get any better at SFxT.
- buy a copy of KoF or SG and fap to it every night with using your SFxT induced tears as lubricant.
its like the method everyone is using man. its broken.
