Spencer is great for it. Task is too…if you have Joe. TEEHEE
The raw tag isn’t only great for killing with other chars. You can tag Arthur in, qcbH + armor up super and tag back out and still keep the combo going. The main point of it really is to give someone else the chance to come in completely safe and do their shit after RR did his job, the raw tag setup really just enhances what RR’s made to do.
I’m new to Racoon so I’m having some issues with some of his combos.
1°:
What is the optimal midscreen combo ?
In the corner I can do some fancy combos, but midscreen I can only do the Bear Trap/Log Trap xx RocknRoll.
2°:
In the corner I’m trying to hard tag to Doom after a oil bomb, but it seems that Doom cannot combo after it. So I tried Hard Tagging after the LogTrap/SpringTrap setup, and here it is what happens:
The opponent is hitted by the Log, and after the Hard Tag, it goes spinning and lands in the trap, the trap ACTIVATE but the opponent doesn’t juggle in it.
Someone can explain why this is happening ?
For #2:
I had the same problem for a while The opponent would hit the ground and activate the trap at the exact same time, but the spring wouldnt connect. I still don’t know what causes it, probably just being barely too far away from the trap. Using S xx log trap > hopper then raw tag seems to work a hell of a lot better nearly all of the time.
To finish boulder loop, instead of doing another boulder, do a log trap. Then jump back S. Another way to finish it is, to not put the last boulder, launch, float S. Basically, s > hcb+L > dash > … > s > hcb+L > dash > s > float S
In the corner, the angle their body is in once they hit the ground (longer horizontally means the bone that controls their position relative to the ground will be too close for the rest of the body to activate the trap, longer vertically means their body will hit and activate the trap BEFORE the position controlling bone renders them grounded, and as they getup roll, invulnerable), this also affects Akuma divekick OTG and RR bear trap OTG.
This is why DHC from Joe to RR on a spring in the corner doesn’t always work properly.
I want a ToD with Nova and Rocket raccoon.
Its a bnb with Nova and then use Beam super, DHC into Rock n Roll and snag myself 800k. Is it possible to followup with Spring Trap DHC instead?
I really don’t want to DHC off Nova Force as it does less damage, i think. I’ll try it out sometime.
Another idea is place trap, then log trap as opponent falls(I don’t use wall bounces in my Nova combo), then follow up.
Thank you for showing this. I figured out a good spencer combo off this setup if I start a team super with at least two bars after raw tag. You can get two 80k’s while Rocket’s super is still goin and two more afterwards with TK H grapple with the help of Spencer assist. I feel like there’s is still something Spencer can do with to start with out meter though, but it’s tough with the hitstun deterioration. Any ideas?
I’m trying to explore hard tag combos with RR but so far their so much hitstun scaling i cant find any characters that can take advantage of it. I’m using Cap/RR/Vergil at the moment and I thought vergil would be for sure, but i find myself wasting a ton of meter doing sword loops with such a low damage to start things off, i wonder if solo BnBs would be better with DHCs
Just started using RR. What is a good bnb after the spring trap super or is there no following up that super? I usually throw it down if someone pops their x-factor and starts going nuts and they almost always run into the trap but I don’t really know what to do afterwards.
