Magia Record (Madoka Magica sidestory) looks promising. Watching the first episode, it looks like they maintained the art, music, and somber atmosphere of the first series. The action gets going pretty quickly this time around too instead of having to wait for episode 3.
Never played the Magia Record mobile game, so I’m pretty much watching the show blind but I’m expecting some good shit to come out of it due to Madoka branding. I don’t know how big the team is gonna get, but coming from a gacha game I imagine it’s probably going to be bigger than the original.
FGO was another gacha game turned anime and that’s been delivering every so episode so far as well. 2020 could be the year of gacha games lol

This has probably been discussed before but although hollywood is full of and run by white jews (not that it matters) but the ONE TIME they should have picked a white jew in the live action Cowboy Beebop they pick an asian dude. I mean wtf?

Even Japanese people can naturally have curly/wavy hair, and there are darker and lighter skinned people as well. And the name is meaningless honestly with the setting being a far future.

I don’t see Spike as any race either. I mean, people got on my shit when I said I didn’t see Jet as a black guy. So. 
Unless anime specifically says someone’s country of origin or where the anime takes place I don’t assume race unless it’s very, very, very clearly obvious of what race/nationality/whatever they are.
I like that animation can present that kind of ambiguity

I just dont really see how it’s bigoted to think someone should be cast as they see that character. He’s not like “fuck Asians they shouldn’t act” or something. Just that he thought they should cast a jew as Spike.
I personally will just take it as it comes. Everyone shit all over the Ghost in the Shell live action movie calling it white washing and shit. If they had shut up long enough to watch the fucking movie they would have seen their complaints where ill advised and a huge waste of time. So I’ll just wait to see the movie then make casting claims then.
I wouldn’t have minded seeing Keanue Reeves get another shot at Spike personally.

If you don’t see him as any specific race either then why wouldn’t you just disagree with ruthless. I don’t know the specific aspects he’s even looking at the character that makes him think Spike is one or there other but I mean, that’s just them looking at the character features I’m assuming. Granted, if ruthless is making that judgement based on racist personality stereotypes, then yeah I’d agree that was some questionable shit to say. But I mean, if it’s based on visual aspects, you can’t really argue that races do have general, observable differences, even if they aren’t universal.
