I saw that as well. Was pretty sure it was actually, since most people didn’t bother to really read the details of the “award” before popping off, ‘Animation of the decade’. That is to say it is the best animated series in the last decade or at least that was my interpretation. Now, while I wouldn’t argue that it’s not a well animated show I would say that there are probably more than a handful of shows that have been made in the last decade that compete with Demon Slayer in the animation department (Violet Evergarden, Made in Abyss and most of Trigger’s recent shows immediately come to mind). Notwithstanding the fact that being “eligible” for an award like this (i.e. having high quality, consistent animation) is mostly a function of having a budget.
Vinland Saga anime ended. Boy, what a finale. Final episode wrapped up that prologue story hella good. Can’t wait for the next parts to get animated.

Yea. Its like Berserk golden age arc before all the messed up shit shows up.
Its good stuff. Definitely well worth a watch.

So they’re rebooting Dragon Quest: The Adventure Of Dai. I used to read the french version of the manga as a kid, I knew him as Fly. I didn’t know that Akira Toriyama worked on some of the designs, I thought they were ripping Dragon Ball off.
Finished season 1 of fire force. I dunno why but my streaming site I used didn’t pop up 23.and 24 originally so I thought it stopped at 22. Fire force snuck up as my favorite anime of the year. The animation has been consistent throughout but went into overdrive after 19. The choreo is insanely on point and I find it hilarious they use actual breakdance moves for Shinra.
The other thing that got me was the second half theme song. It’s a fuckin pop punk.scene sounding theme song. I was legit confused and thought some hot topic style band snuck through. Found out their like a pop pink Japanese band that only songs in English. Shits fire for me.
Fire Force was cool and I liked it a lot from what little I watched of it. Shinra was cool. I liked the fire cat girl and the chief of the rival firehouse too. Fire House 6 I think? Whichever firehouse it is that the crazy dominatrix chick with the cool eyes runs. I really dug her. I think it’s because of her skin tone and how they stylized her eyes.
I stopped right at the raid where they attempt to save The Sister from the fire house crazy eyes runs.
I think that was when they took a break of releasing episodes out of respect for the KyoAni Arson attack. I just never bothered picking it back up.
The show gets real weird by the end of the season. It’s Def worth sticking around cause I def went what in the fuck when they explained more of the world.
I also like the theory that this show may be connected to soul eater.

Shit nor did I. The manga kind of put a definitive end to all the characters (or the good ones) unless this is a epilogue showing other characters.
