One of the KyoAni animation offices just got attacked by an arsonist. Several confirmed dead, others severely injured and unconscious. Motherfucker was pouring gasoline on people inside the building. Fucking asshole’s been caught now atleast.

Building only had two exits, both on ground floor which may’ve been lit up to block escape. Second and third floor victims only had the windows or the roof access-way (which was apparently locked as there were reportedly a number of individuals found in that area, on the stairs leading up to the roof).
Authorities found 2x 20L Gasoline Drums, 6 kitchen knives and a hammer at the studios first floor.

It’s unclear. The phrase reported by Japanese press is パクリしやがって pakuri shiyagatte “You fucking plagiarists”, but doesn’t specify if the culprit was accusing KyoAni of plagiarising him or some other studios… or who knows whom.
