Still can’t believe they made that into an anine

It’s funny seeing how it went from a hentai series to a legit manga to an anime. Kinda like Peter Grill

I was gonna say her faces are right out a doujin.

The English dub…

I’m sorry it did what? Lmfao

That’s like when they made toxic avenger movie and somehow got a kids cartoon out of it :joy:

The more and more I think about this series the more I’m confused just how popular it is. The art is OK at best. The story is good. The animes animation is s tier. But the way it just broke through as one of the best in a short amount of time. I think it even beat one piece in sales near the end which hasnt been been beaten in some crazy number of years. I’m just confused. It’s this weird perfect storm of stuff.

Yup. The guy started it as a series of hentai doujins, then a publisher saw it and said “Hey, if we clean this up, we can sell it.” so they did. Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time was a similar situation. It started as a hentai series about a knight banging a bunch of monster girls before being re-made into its more softcore current iteration.

ufotable superb animation techniques and direction actually made this series better. The manga is more simple. I heard the successes of KNY was only a coincidence it happened to unite a good chunk of talented individuals who actually care and like to work on the project. I didn’t know at first the manga was made by a woman but somehow i knew because she tend to draw the female and children characters “very kawai” something shojo mangas tend to do. This combines with the story about Compassion and protecting the weak seems to be resonating alot with the audience in japan because it has those themes that no longer seem to exist in their modern society.

I myself don’t think is the best but it’s enjoyable: I like the characters, direction, animation,OST and themes and story. it’s a fusion between shojo and shonen as i see it.

edit: the movie is a huge success because it’s actually based on the manga with a bigger budget.I mean who doesn’t want a movie based on their favorite manga being made?! I wish all these naruto movies they made were based in the manga and not fucking filler BS.

Been a long time since I seen an anime look as good as demon slayer. It’s partly why I liked it a lot too even though it’s typical shonen stuff.

That UFO Table magic makes anything look awesome. Plus that catchy intro and ending do it as well.

Demons Slayer is just a show that manages to be better then the individual parts that it’s made of.

Which makes it amazing to me. It’s legit a perfect storm of stuff. In my head the Manga shouldn’t have gotten an anime based in the story and art. Someone took a chance and it snowballed from there.

I mean based on that, neither should One Punch Man. That Mangas uggo as fuck and 8ts story is a basic subversion.

But other people took it and polished intro a fucking shown so…yea.

I do think mob psycho is better

But the anime takes it to a psychedelic level

I thought i read One Piece for a second lol

If you look at the Zenitsu fights in the manga they’re even shorter and simple but in the Anime Ufotable added more scenes in the fights specially in the second one where he unleashes his one hit a attack made it look a lot more dramatic. They actually making the manga better in the anime.

Fire Force is great, almost caught up in the anime

Finished S2 and man i need more of it.

The animation so good, and somehow they manage to make everybody stand out despite them all having powers based around fire. Most of the characters seem likeable as well
