Trivia on Attack on Titan: Show’s beautifully animated by Production I.G (same with Guilty Crown), directed by the same dude who directed Guilty Crown, and the protag voiced by Kaji Yuki, same dude who did Ouma Shu (Guilty Crown).
The same dude who wrote Guilty Crown also wrote Code Geass…
But I guess with an already outlined manga to follow, they won’t have to start freestyling shit up halfway through.
Nyarlko is back and better than ever.
W is looking to be really good. I like how Oreshura was the hot thing in Akibahara…and the lucky star finger thing. Also, both opening and ending are really good. So far the opening is the best this season.
Although, it is one of those shows where Japanese exceptionalism is one of the main themes. Like, yeah…sure…Intergalactic space aliens just can’t get enough of your culture Japan.
I saw the first episode of second season of Oreimo and felt lost. Was there a OVA series or something that I missed because it felt like a lot of happened I should have been aware of before watching that episode.
I watch Mushibugyo episode 01 today. Wasn’t bad. Animation is pretty solid and colorful and there’s boobs. I’ll continue to watch it for now, but if it ends up feeling too shounen-y I’ll drop it.
Yes, I think there were like 3 ova episodes or something that focused on everyone else while Kirino was in America. Basically they were boring school episodes.
Red learns a bit more about Earth’s situation and about the Gargantia, the vessel he is currently on. In turn, Red tells Amy and the others about where he is from and the war that he is/was currently fighting in. Later, when Bellows and her salvage group are attacked by pirates, Red springs into action with his mech and he obliterates the enemy forces.
The Red/Chamber interactions made me think of Leo & Dingo/ADA stuffs (ZOE).
Waterworld?
Red Data Girl - 04
Spoiler
Izumiko adjusts to life at Houjou Academy and besides Miyuki, she meets/interacts with her roommate, Mayura, her brother, Manatsu, and Takayanagi, who is known to have the highest testing scores. Later, Izumiko has an encounter with Takayanagi, but Miyuki intervenes, saving her and in turn reveals that Takayanagi has spiritual power, which ends up injuring Mayura after she checks out a website of Takayanagi’s design. That evening, it seems that Manatsu and Miyuki wish to settle things with Takayanagi and after Izumiko goes off to join them, she meets someone named Masumi.
The mysticism/spirituality power stuffs reminds me of the Onmyoji movies.
Computer/website stuffs with the curse trap was interesting.
Ricardo somewhat made me think of Chad from Bleach.
Are any of the currently airing giant robot anime any good?
I tried out that Gargantia, but it’s not really about giant robots, Jehuty vs hanggliders last episode confirmed it for me.
Only 2 episodes in and Red Data Girl is already heating up, looking foward to the next episode.
So Space Battleship Yamato 2199 already has 14 episodes released and the next 3 will drop on bluray/dvd on May 28th. I knew there were some movies out but had no idea they’ve been getting released for almost a year. Good thing theres a batch torrent out with all the episodes.
[Deadfish] because low file sizes. Down-side is that shit is hard-subbed but I don’t mind since I’m screwed without it so it doesn’t matter so much if I can toggle them on/off.
Actually the downside is that most of the time they are crunchroll subs. They either take commie or horriblesubs and just convert it to mp4. I’d say the only upshot is that they ARE hardsubbed, which is nice if you want to put it on a mobile device and not have to worry about any decoding or performance issues.
I watched gg, they are usually pretty good.
Finished Little Busters: ending was pretty disappointing, it was like a game where they spend the entire game hyping up this big confrontation and elaborate mystery, but then the last boss turns out to be a pushover and the game suddenly ends with no closure and a teaser for the sequel.
Aiura: Also disappointing, I was looking forward to this show, not realizing it was a one of those 3 minute shows. Why do they even bother having opening and closings to pad it out to 5 and a half minutes? Actually, what got to me was how it didn’t even feel like they got a gag in. It just kind of ended…I mean, I guess they sort of introduced some stuff and set the stage…but…like…it just seemed abrupt.
Yuyushiki: Poised to be the best show of the season. I knew from the very opening shoot of a school uniform it would be good. All schoolgirls all the time. It kind of reminded me of lucky star, except Konata is not an otaku and Tsukasa and Miyuki have assimilated. A little more silly than slice-of-lifey…and more overt yuri tones, which is good.
