Watched the first episodes of Suisei no Gargantia and Shingeki no Kyojin.
Suisei no Gargantia is pretty good. Solid first episode. God damn I see oppai though. Hopefully there’s more to come. :3

Would’ve been better if the reveal of Earth was revealed by a black guy punching Redo in the face saying “WELCUM TO ERF”.
Shingeki no Kyojin

Was a good introductory episode. I did, however, almost want to burst out in laughter when that guy from the recon group gave that old woman her son’s arm. I mean… really? Who the fuck would ever do that? loool YOUR SON DIED. ON TOP OF THAT, HERE’S HIS SEVERED ARM. LOLOL. Kind of defied logic to me, really, and took me out of the show a bit.
I’m tempted to read the manga now though. Not sure if I should just wait for the anime to finish and continue where the anime will leave off.
Hmm…if you don’t want to spoil the anime by reading the manga first that’s fine. It might be better to get use to the ‘rough’ art in the manga now then get spoiled by the anime and go wtf at this art after wards. lol
I guess I’m the only person who doesn’t mind the art in the manga. Though I guess no one else does either seeing how popular it is. I would always recommend reading the manga first with anime adaptions, especially one like this were it’s not even that far along.
I remember going from the Hyakko anime to the manga…the first volume or two’s art was really bad for no reason. Like, unintentional Dr. Katz stuff going on.
*New Gatchaman sounds… Well let’s just say my hype really went down. New girlis the protagonist and her name isn’t even June. She “practices” science ninja arts… I’ll check it out since Kenji Nakamura is at the helm but I can’t say I have high expectations anymore.
In other news I finally finished Pyschopass and Nana after a month layoff of watching anime. PyschoPass ending was solid, nothing spectacular but it also didn’t fall on it’s face. A rather solid conclusion to the climax it reached and I rather liked the full circle ending even if it felt a little underwelming in some respects. Me not watching in a month really tapered my enjoyment and my built up suspense of how things would conclude. However even with that caveat effecting my enjoyment I liked the show as a whole and it’s definitely a show I’m curious about how subsequent viewings will effect my overall feelings, I give Pyscho Pass an 8/10.
Nana faced a similar (unfortunate) fate of having my viewership hiatus effect my enjoyment of the ending and subsequently the entire work. It was a really, really good show with a great cast of characters that have entertaining, often realistic interactions with one another. Which over the course of the 47 eps I felt like I actually understood the characters motives, desires and ultimately what made them tick. Even having said that the ending of the show left quite a few of questions and didn’t deliver really many answers to dilemmas that were formed in the last arc. Though the one answer it did answer was the most important one of all and with that said I give Nana a 8.5/10. *
