I still don’t see what’s so bad about Crunchyroll subs. If Horrid subs are available, I take those first. They play perfectly fine on my computer and usually don’t sport a ridiculous-looking font.
But yes, they rip the other big-name subs for a particular series. For example they’ve been ripping UTW for Shinsekai Yori, but I don’t even care lol. Smaller file size is great because now I can cram even more shows on my external HDD. a 24-episode series with Deadfish roughly equals to the size of a 720p 12-episode series (4gb), AND the quality isn’t that huge of a drop either so that’s a huge plus.

So…I bought Aoi Hana because its the type of show I never expected to see in a store, and watching it, I kept wondering why Fumi was such a big crybaby when I was sure she did karate and gave it up because her friend liked small cute things. Eventually realized I was thinking of Sasameki Koto. Hard to believe this show came out almost 4 years ago. Seems so long.
Kodomo No Jikan is ending this month. Makes me sad to see it go. Really been a wonderful story. It really only improved over these years, the characters, the art, the humor and the direction. Also a little sad people won’t ever give it a chance because of the subject material.
1st ep of Valvrave the Liberator was meh but then the ending was like OH shit. Gotta stick around to see if this turns out decent or into a huge trainwreck.
*Just seen the first ep of Yamato 2199… Soooooooo good. I can safely say I’m going to be looking forward to this every week. Seen the first eps of Attack on Titan and Devil Survivor as well. Attack on Titan should be pretty compelling, love the art style and animation so far, plus i’m getting Claymore vibes. Will definitely be looking forward to how the series progresses (even if it might have to diverge from the manga later on).
Devil Survivor however isn’t seeming too hot. I initially checked it out to see how they’d do the demons but the first ep came off of rather cheesy and asinine. I’m not feeling the animation or art style either. I’ll give it more of a chance but it’s first impression fell short of my already light expectations. *

thats what i like about hunter x hunter, its not straight forward, like you may have an idea who will win a fight, but honestly you never know. shit is so well done.
