Anywho, Bakuman III is back, and by god was ep 23 another great one.
Spoiler
The results were a bit of an exaggeration to me, but I guess what they wanted to convey was that Miho really did prove herself to be the champion of the candidates. The acting in that part was spot-on though. Down to earth and very believable. The voice was clear and unbound. I like that they killed the BGM so we can focus on her voice. What baffles me is why they didn’t just let her continue her speech. It got changed with an altered or different voice… It could’ve been a technical issue on the production end or the voice actor really couldn’t pull that part off.
yea i love bakuman a whole lot, but i can tell they skipping alot of shit, since early season 3 it just feels like the show is on turbo mode or something.
*I just started 20th Century boys and it’s definitely not what I was expecting right off the back. Got a good mix of humor going for it and it’s stirring up a sense of nostalgia in me… Plus this:
Gintama 264: That was a pretty decent conclusion to the Obi-one arc. I sort of expected it to go for a couple of more episodes, but the anime’s ending (again) at the end of the month, so yeah. Nothing too major, but I thought it was enjoyable.

Fight between Obi-one and Shinpachi was kinda anti-climactic, though. Still some good development for both Shimura siblings and I liked Kondo’s reactions when it came to the whole chocolate covered macadamia nuts bit. The best way to remember someone’s passing away is to take a vacation, buy sweets and try to get hobos to join your dojo with them, apparently!
Not sure how I feel about Psycho-pass’ ending. I do know I approve of Shion x Yayoi.
[details=Spoiler] Makishima’s death was kinda lame and anticlimactic. I really didn’t want him to die, but it was to be expected.
The open ending leaves for a OVA/movie/season 2, but I’m not sure if the show would be entertaining without Makishima for me. I do like how the ending looped back to episode 1, but with everyone in different positions.[/details]
Overall I really enjoyed the show. Akane’s development was great and the show had some of the most intense episodes I’ve seen in a long time.
Although I wish more characters had some kind of development or importance to the show. Because besides Akane, Kogami and Makishima, I really didn’t give a shit about the rest of the cast. Thus making some of the deaths kinda ‘meh’ to me.
All I can say is I enjoyed it from start to end, I thought it was gonna go another way to close out but after watching it my 2nd time just now it was very fitting. Psycho Pass is great through and through.
8.8/10
It would be higher if they touched on the other characters a little bit more but Psycho Pass Goes down as one of my all time favs.
talking in third person
is something that needs to not be done lol
this conversation is just becoming a downward spiral
but its apparent who this character is already its hype
it can be just like torako in yotsuba
When Akane told the brain in jars that someone will unplug them I was hoping she somehow found a way to tell Kogami the truth and have him do it. I’m sad it never happened. Also sadden that we didn’t get to see Gino’s bionic arm
[details=Spoiler]Ending was a bit lacking for me. I was hoping there would be more struggle, but I guess there was a time constraint needing to cram all the end in no time. I am happy they chose to end it the way they did because it illustrates the cycle of Sibyl and the MWPSB.
I love antagonists like Makishima where they fully understand their relation to the heroes, how he will be replaced by another criminal even if he is killed, not because that’s a forced scenario, but because that’s the job of the police- to enforce the law. Now that Makishima’s dead Ginoza stepping down to an Enforcer and a new inspector joining the team, this probably suggests Kogami is now the new Makishima. Seems all remains the same except for the number of Enforcers now lol. If there were to be a continuation, Kogami would definitely make an interesting criminal since he isn’t out to kill anyone. What if there was something else he later strives to do not approved by the law?
None of the stuff that happened in the early episodes contributed to the end, that virtual world spooky boogey thing didn’t have any impact, the development episode of Yayoi meant nothing, and what Makishima was like when he used pawns is nothing like what he was near the end. First it was about Makishima dicking around finding people to do shit for him, now he’s out to destroy Sibyl. These are the flaws I’ve remembered.
edit: Wait- Makishima’s plan was to create an end to Sibyl, a system Japan relied heavily on. In a way, isn’t he freeing the population from it? Thinking about how he mentioned pawns and how people get discarded and replaced (just like he did with that art exhibit girl, and cyborg man), could it mean that he planned for Kogami to replace him if he loses to him? If so, man’s a genius because we know how badly Kogami wants to shut down Sibyl.
On another note, did killing Yuri (Akane’s friend) have any importance to the plot or his intent? He and the cyborg dude went out of their way to lure Kogami into the sewer arena. Or was it all for the sake of establishing Makishima being criminally asymptomatic?
The visual and audio were pretty great for the most part, the psychological themes were intriguing without being extremely difficult to grasp, and the characters were well designed overall. Including the voice actors.
8/10.
P.S. Did anyone else notice Kogami’s prof chilling in the same room as Kasai? Wonder what that was all about.[/details]
