[details=Spoiler]Warp doesn’t really think it might be Mamoru’s and Maria’s child, but I think it’s probably pretty likely. The child could easily be 10 or 11 years old by now, more than old enough to be self-conscious about these things. Squealer is a piece of shit and is probably behind most of this. I don’t believe it was mentioned WHEN the bones of Maria and Mamoru were found, which leads me to believe they could’ve been possibly been killed by Squealer after the child was born. The child is then raised by the queerats to be a weapon of war they’ve been planning against humans for a long time now. This makes sense to what was mentioned at the end of episode two when Saki mentions that lives would’ve been saved had Maria not been born at all. Also, in a recent episode, Maria says that she and Saki can’t even have a baby.

My theory is somewhat backed by what some faggot spoiled earlier in this thread. I’m still pissed about that since it’s probably a big reveal coming up. Had to do with why homosexual relationships were encouraged in that society, but I won’t say much else in case people forgot about the spoiler (you’re lucky if you did, I guess).

Even then, a child raised by queerats has no real societal morals or cantus training other than what it already knows. I think more signs point to the possibility of the fiend being Maria and Mamoru’s child than not.[/details]

[details=Spoiler]I wasn’t really expecting Makishima to get captured. Somewhat of an interesting twist. Some people were complaining that Akane didn’t kill him, but that totally would’ve went against her character if she did. Besides, if Makishima was dead, the series would fundamentally be over.

Kagari’s death was expected. First supporting character on Urobuchi’s list can be checked off now. Wonder how many more will be scratched from the list. I was totally not expecting the director to show up. Chinese guy got murked pretty fast, but not without revealin that the director is A FUCKING ROBOT. With Kagari being the only person left that knew the truth about the Sibyl System, his fate was sealed. I wonder what it was? It better not be fucking psychic people swimming in fish tanks like Minority Report. lolol

Some friends were joking that it was actually the entire city populace plugged into machines a la The Matrix. lol. Another joked that it was actually Madoka from Madoka Magica running the Sibyl System and that Psycho-Pass is actually a sequel to Madoka Magica. lolol. Someone else mentioned that the director’s face actually comes apart and reveals a spot for Kyuubey to pilot the director (like the small alien in a human-robot suit in Men in Black). 10/10 UROBUCHI DOES IT AGAIN. He is. The dominator went into paralyzing mode at first, but then it clearly transformed into the lethal version. It looks like the director can hack the dominator into whatever type she wants.

Psycho Pass 16

[details=Spoiler]Watch the scene again. When she points the Dominator at Kagari, it initially says it’s in stun mode. However, it’s obvious that the mode is overwritten by the director and the gun takes the shape of its lethal mode. That’s why Karagi was like “This bites.” right before the screen fades to white and you hear the Dominator fire. Kagari is dead. I’m interested to see how they’ll explain his death, since it’s obvious he wasn’t killed by Makishima’s thugs. I guess the easiest option for a cover up is that Kagari is missing.

Also, I forgot to mention how I guess what’s going to happen with Makishima. There’s no way he’s going to likely escape on his own out of custody. My only guess is that he’s going to get some inside help from the Bureau to escape and help bring down the Sibyl System. There really isn’t anyone else in the story that is going to be able to reveal the big secret of the Sibyl System.[/details]

Psycho Pass 16

[details=Spoiler]I actually quite liked the scene where Akane was at the crossroads of killing Makashima and avenging her friend or sticking to her principles and arresting him instead. Akane represents the good side of society among many other things so it’s far too soon for her to dirty her hands by killing Makashima. There needs to be more build up before she does something like that and that will be the perfect place to show her breaking point and/or fall from grace.

Kagari dying was pretty predictable as the episode progressed but the way he died (if he died) was unexpected. As mentioned, once he discovered the truth behind the Sibyl System (as well as the fact the director is a robot/cyborg) he was going to be silenced to keep the secrets hidden. Again, it’s too soon for everything to be revealed yet so a few more episodes to build things up and kill off a few more characters before we reach the climax of the series.[/details]

Robotics;Notes

Robotic Notes episode 16

[details=Spoiler]I don’t think anyone was expecting that sequence of events towards the end. The robot falling of the robot towards Subaru doesn’t really mean much since episode 1 already showed the team testing a fully built robot. His safety is guaranteed until that point point; however, Mizuka falling to her death was the truly unexpected event of the episode and obviously opens up a ton of questions about the mystery surrounding Kimijima, Mizuka, and Misaki.

I’m really liking this balance between the groups drive to building a robot and the under lying mystery with the Kimijima reports. The beginning of the series was a bit iffy for me, as I wanted more focus on the underlying mystery of the series. Midway through the series they started to focus more on that and reached a point where they can balance the two story lines well.[/details]

EDIT: Okay, so in addition to what Spirit Juice mentioned about spoiler tags you cannot include a ; after the = sign. It also screws up the spoiler tags so if you want to do spoiler=Robotics;Notes you have to do spoiler=Robotics Notes. Stay fucking free SRK.

Child theory makes more sense Maria and Mamoru doing this out of revenge. Seems out of character for them. Then again, a lot can happen in twelve years. Still, both DNA and dental records confirmed their deaths. I don’t think queerats are that crafty, nor do I think cantus is powerful enough to manipulate DNA and skeletal remains to that point. We’ll see though.

Psycho-Pass 16 and Robotics;Notes 16 were epic. Shin Sekai Yori is finally becoming interesting again.

Why are all the best shows the ones that started from last season? Winter season 2013 is shit.

@kenuran wut?

Just finished Psycho Pass episode 11.

I love this show it’s very entertaining action, every bullet shot actually matters and has weight unlike the bullet porn of a lot of action shows and it’s very thought provoking without coming across as cheesy. But Holy shit, what a dumbass I really liked that character I’m mad I can’t believe that happened!

Also Spaced you might like to know that I brought up Eva on #capcom last week and crackpron said he got drunk with gainax writers who told him they added the religious stuff because it looked cool and that there is no deep meaning to it lol.

So I started this manga called Tail Star. While it is a shounen and it has prob my most hated anime’manga trope of “young boy genius main character is gonna become godlike and beast on all of these god tier characters at some point”, it’s actually pretty entertaining stuff, prob because they aren’t focus on the kid much at this point. And honestly, I feel they’re already jumping the shark as like I said, they’ve shown some absolute god tier opponents already and the kid is like 11, so either there’s gotta be a lengthy time skip or the kid is more godlike then i could possible imagine.

Also is Chihayafuru actually any good? I read the synopsis and I would almost think people are trolling me but it seems to be popular enough. Is there a lot of awful high school romance or does it focus mainly on the game or whatever. I been binging on manga for the pass month and now I need something new to read.

Robotics Notes 16

Spoiler

The episode starts with a flashback of Mizuka’s accident and how she received the mechanical leg braces she uses.

The Robotics Club conducts an activation test for the GunPro-2, which utilizes all of the incorporated ideas that the group has had (monopole powered engine, robot frame structure, PokeComm viewing display/filter, etc.). Though the test is successful, the group learns from Nae that they can no longer use the facility due to some security reasons for an upcoming rocket launch. GunPro-2 is moved back to the hangar of the Robotics Club. In Tokyo, Misa’s boss notes that Kai may be onto something regarding the Kimijima Reports and Misa says that she’ll handle it/him if need be.

Aki, Subaru, Kona, and Junna are conducting some sort of movement test when Junna notices something strange with GunPro-2. Subaru decides to run alongside the robot to check things out. Suddenly, a large gust of wind blows through the airfield and into GunPro-2, causing it to buckle and fall in Subaru’s direction.

Kai is off looking for Kimijima Report 7, which leads him to a location that overlooks the sea below. As he finds the marker for the report, Mizuka appears and tells him again to forget about anything related to Kimijima. For some reason, Mizuka’s mechanical leg braces act up and start to move on their own. Kai recalls something about malfunctioning equipment related to the Exoskeleton case and realizes that the mechanical contraption is moving Mizuka toward a section of broken railing, prompting him to stop the advancement by knocking Mizuka over and onto the ground.

However, the moment of relief is short-lived as the mechanical leg braces jolt back into an upright position with Mizuka in tow. Kai makes another attempt to stop the movement/advance but he struggles to do so. Realizing that the situation is grim, Mizuka knocks Kai away from her and she tells him to thank Misa for the mechanical leg braces that allowed her to walk again, as they carry Mizuka through the broken section of railing and off the cliff overlooking the sea.

Vividred Operation 05

Spoiler

While Akane, Aoi, Wakaba, and Himawari are eating lunch, they notice that the mysterious girl is nearby and looking off in the distance toward the Manifestation Engine. Akane asks Rei (the mysterious girl) if she would like to join their group for a school excursion activity, but Rei declines the offer. Sometime after school, Akane trails after Rei and sees the girl save a boy from being crushed by a falling steel girder near a construction site.

Apparently, Rei is in the employ of a crow-like entity that tells her to destroy the Manifestation Engine in ‘this world’ and reminds Rei of a tragedy that had occurred. At night, Rei attempts to infiltrate the Manifestation Engine facility, but she is unable to progress due to defense systems, which cause her to withdraw. The next morning, Akane finds Rei who has washed up on shore on a beach.

Akane tends to Rei’s injuries and as the two girls get to know each other, they have a convo about the lengths they would go to do something, but they are interrupted by the appearance of an Alone (Akane rushes off to fight it, Rei sneaks off somewhere while looking for something. As Akane joins the other girls to fight the Alone, Rei appears nearby and is about to cause the Alone to change form, but she falls unconscious due to her injuries.

Rei awakens again in Akane’s home and to a familiar sight - a precious key that she thought was lost. Akane and company had searched for the key a while ago. Though she is touched by Akane’s helpful efforts, Rei still remembers what she has to do and resumes her cold, distant persona.

[/details]

Seriously anyone not watching Psycho-Pass is FUCKING UP. GREATLY. Probably the best cyber punk show/series/IP to date.

EDIT: WARNING: PUTTING A HYPHEN IN YOUR SPOILER TAG WILL FUCK UP THE TAG AND NOT HIDE ANYTHING. So if you’re going to do spoiler=Psycho-Pass, just do spoiler=Psycho Pass instead.</blockquote>

It’s not that I don’t think it’s their child, it’s that I’m nowhere near ready to concede that Maria and Mamoru are dead, and you can’t forget that Mamoru was on the verge of being erased at one point. Because of that I’m not willing to attribute everything that’s been going on to the fiend/child/whatever.[/details]

Shinsekai Yori 19

Spoiler

Child theory makes more sense Maria and Mamoru doing this out of revenge. Seems out of character for them. Then again, a lot can happen in twelve years. Still, both DNA and dental records confirmed their deaths. I don’t think queerats are that crafty, nor do I think cantus is powerful enough to manipulate DNA and skeletal remains to that point. We’ll see though.

SSY 19

Spoiler

Hmmm…now that you think of it, another plausible situation is that Maria got killed by the queerats, Squealer lied to Mamoru and told him that the village found her and killed her; and now Mamoru has been powering up his cantus to seek revenge.

Also is Chihayafuru actually any good? I read the synopsis and I would almost think people are trolling me but it seems to be popular enough. Is there a lot of awful high school romance or does it focus mainly on the game or whatever. I been binging on manga for the pass month and now I need something new to read.</blockquote>

The romance is there; but the game and the drama that happens within it takes center stage most of the time. Karuta is…well, not really for most western audiences, but how it was adapted is what makes it interesting.

<blockquote class=“Quote” rel=“SWBeta”>Psycho-Pass 16 and Robotics;Notes 16 were epic. Shin Sekai Yori is finally becoming interesting again.

Why are all the best shows the ones that started from last season? Winter season 2013 is shit.</blockquote>

Yeah… Good thing those good shows from last season are more than 12-13 episodes.

Fuck this fucking new layout I swear to god. Fuck it.

Trifecta of Psycho-Pass, Robotics;Notes and Shinsekai Yori hitting the fan in one week. Goddamn!

Anyone know where I can read the latest Gantz chapter (377)? None of the links in the OP have it yet. When I google it though there is already a spanish translation. Are the american translators so lazy that the mexicans got it first?

<blockquote class=“Quote” rel=“Minerva_SC”>So I started this manga called Tail Star.

There’s almost no romance at all. And it’s a hit for the same reason Hikaru no Go was, or basically any series based on competition.
