Chihayafuru 2 05

Spoiler

Though the top 2 placing teams both get the opportunity to go to Nationals, some members of Hokuo and Mizusawa (Amakasu and Nishida, respectively) feel that they can rest easy knowing that there isn’t any pressure on them to win. However, both Chihaya and Retro feel that their respective karuta groups should play their hardest to prove that they are the best. Retro is under some pressure by Amakasu to secure three easy wins (Taichi, Kana, Komano) with his ‘unique’ playing order discerning ability, which Sumire overhears during Hokuo’s semi-final match from Amakasu. Mizusawa worries about their playing order as well but Taichi decides to stick to his guns utilizing a playing order with all of the second years, firing up Taichi, Kana, and Komano for their upcoming matches, though Tsukuba tries to weasel into the playing order but he gets scolded by Nishida, yet again. Nishida is surprised to see his sister on the sidelines supporting Retro of all people.

The order for both schools is decided and the resulting matchups speak for themselves - a straight up battle between Mizusawa and Hokuo, notable matches being Chihaya vs Amakasu and Taichi vs Retro. Amakasu is angry at Retro for the order but Retro stands by his decision on the playing order. The ‘secret weapon’ for Hokuo makes an appearance that shocks the players of both teams - former Hokuo ace, Sudou. Sudou isn’t there to cheer on Hokuo but he apparently is the reader for the finals match at the request of Mochida (Hokuo’s adviser) who feels that Amakasu has become complacent in his Class A standing compared to other exceptional male players like, Suo (the current Master), Sudou, and Dr. Harada, though Sudou’s appearance puts a lot of pressure on Hokuo to do well and win. Prior to the match, Miyauchi (Mizusawa’s adviser) gives her club members some tasuki to bind their kimono sleeves with for more range of movement, and the Mizusawa Karuta Club responds with a bow of respect for her offering.

Sudou begins to read, signalling the beginning/start of the match. Chihaya is behind as Amakasu pulls ahead with an early lead. As Chihaya reflects on being unable to take cards, Amakasu makes it a point to chastise Chihaya on her conscious efforts to focus on her arm swing speed and precision, which makes the Hokuo team captain realize that she is attempting to channel the current Queen, Shinobu (whose ability was exceptional), whom Amakasu had lost to last year. Kana is doing well in her match and is up over her opponent by a good amount of cards as she has become acclimated to Sudou’s reading rhythm, which is something of a topic of discussion between Harada and Mochida, with Sudou’s interest in wanting to study karuta readers instead of cards and players, much like Suo. However, it is Nishida’s surprising loss that catches Mizusawa off-guard as the Class A player was seemingly distracted by things during and outside his match. Taichi appears to be in a close match with Retro at that moment.

Things may be looking up for Chihaya as she is able to take the next card and appears to have channeled and utilized the abilities of both Shinobu and Suo.

The ESP Society celebrates the addition of Hiyori and the return of Haruka with a party/sleepover at Haruka’s new apartment. Some hijinks ensue as the group does activities and bonds. Haruka ends up participating in a group relay race for the school’s sports festival and though she puts in some effort (despite being a klutz) and garnering cheers from her friends and other classmates, Haruka’s klutziness makes for a memorable moment.

Zetsun No tempest has an anime?

Zetsun No Tempest has an anime.

I am getting no sleep tonight.

Shin Sekai Yori should have been 12 episodes. My interest really started to wane around episode 14. I am considering putting it on my tablet and making it my pooping anime.
Sword art online and Accel World also should have been 12 episodes.

Ghost in the Shell Arise.

Here’s the facts:

Focuses on a younger Motoko and it’s going to be a 4 part OVA with each part being 50 minutes long and each part will be released theatrically and VOD/Blu same day or just before theatrical release. Hopefully the fan subbers can get on it asap.

^ Same. I dropped SSY around there too.

Boku wa tomodachi is still the same ol random bullshit fun like last season.

I dropped SSY on episode 2. Knew it was gonna be trash from there!

Also new GoTS looks okay, dissapointed that it’s theatrically released, meaning we’ll get maybe 1 subbed every 23 years. o well.

Aight, think I’ll start that tonight.

If you dropped SSY you fuckin’ up.

Further news is that the entire cast is being replaced. I forget all the changes but I do remember that Maaya Sakamoto will play Motoko. She did play the younger version of Motoko in previous episodes.

So watched an episode of Aoi Seki no Chuushin de it’s weird it’s thrown together like generic shounen but the names of everything are based on a nintendo vs sega hardware war.

The oppressive “Ninteldo” (Nintendo) and led by General Marcus (Mario he looks like a burly mario and even has an M like marios hat on his forehead) their allies the Tetrans (Tetris, one of them has a tetris piece as an ear ring) are in eternal conflict in the hard wars (hardware wars) on the continent of consume (battling over consumer share) where Ninteldo are dominating with 90% control against the Segua (Sega).

i cant post on here man…this shit is too bright for my eyes, this big ass monitor…

but anyways, fucking Fairy Tail has been pretty godlike lately.

I don’t intend to get into an argument with someone, but I’m in a mischievous mood. :stuck_out_tongue: Right now someone on another forum praises Gintama. I told him that Shinsekai Yori is better. I haven’t actually watched Gintama, I’m totally trying to mess with the guy. I know you guys like Gintama too so I’m going to ask you guys for help on this. For the sake of trolling the guy, what I can I say that will make Shinsekai Yori sound like its the most awesome show on the planet?

It has furries.

hey psycho pass is pretty good. so is robotics;notes, at least as of late. when

Spoiler

robots start acting up, and shit goes down, shit fucking goes down. but i can’t bring myself to give a shit about aki or the giant robot she’s building. which, i’m just guessing here, she’ll be super important at the end and possibly have a life-threatening confrontation with her villainous sister and i’ll probably like her by the end because of it.

You hella fuckin up if you dropped SSY.

[]Riko’s horoscope says to steer clear of water, though someone in blue will protect her (a Libra) that day, which is problematic cause she is going to the pool with Kana and Keiko. Fujioka happens to show up and he is wearing blue swim trunks. Riko gets the chance to spend some time with Fujioka as a result of the horoscope.
[
]Kana surprises Chiaki, Uchida, and Yoshino with a ‘bishoujo’ act that comes up as the result of a convo regarding jobs and interviews. Though, Fujioka gets to experience a different side of Kana, he says that he likes how she usually acts, which causes Kana to drop the act and revert back to her normal self.
[]The Minami Sisters, their friends and Mako-chan go to the beach. Haruka wears a two-piece, Mako-chan helps Chiaki with swimming, Kana does Kana stuff, and Chiaki feels bad about some food stuffs.

Kinda annoyed that as kids Satoru could bend the earth to his will and doing stuff Rijin was but now cantus flames is about as effective as he gets. Also I’m still confused on why they can’t kill fiends. It just makes them really sick and shuts off their cantus because they can’t concentrate. If they killed the other person quickly (entirely possible) those effects would all kick in afterwards. Don’t know … hm … wonder who the fiend is. Obviously someone Saki knows but still. I ARE INTRIGUED![/details]

^ On SSY:

Spoiler

It’s the intent to kill that stops them (death feedback or w/e it was called). If you don’t have the intent, you can’t follow through.

Also Rat People be hella fucking up if people are dropping SSY. Why would you be watching for any other reason at all?
