Anime & Manga Thread v.5 FAQ/IRC: See OP. Welcome to 2017

It was all on the King’s Game.

The way he was portrayed by his VA at the final battle was awful. It made him look like a bad actor.

Not sure how I feel about this.

Thats just a Precure Smile edit GhostDrink

Oh. Crisis averted! For now.

I’d be cool with a new Sailor Moon looking like that.

How’s the new PRecure show?

This was the worst week for SRK to go down, since serious shit went down in almost every series of note.

New SRK is ugly and I don’t know the new tags to spoilers and too lazy to look it up.

Last week was fucking horrendous for cliff hangars. Pretty much every show I watched last week ended in giant cliff hangars and I want the next episodes RFN. The more notable ones that I can remember are Psycho Pass and Robotics;Notes.

Psycho Pass - Yeah…Not going to say much until I get the spoiler tags figured out. A couple of really good scenes in this episode and a surprise twist at the end that makes things a whole lot more interesting. Really want to see the next episode.

Robotics;Notes - The underlying mystery of the show is really good. The end of this episode had a far bigger impact on me than Psycho Pass (mostly because Psycho Pass was a bit more predictable) and the cliff hangar is huge.

This pic is pretty old actually lol

Better than Smile, but that’s not saying much. At least it looks to be a little serious and not stuck in retard mode.

Shinsekai Yori was huge as well, and Zetsuen no Tempest was big in a “okay, now that everybody knows what we already knew, what’s going to happen next” kind of way.

Ah yes…thanks for reminding me about Zetsuen no Tempest. The build up to that was a bit long and I’m not really liking the recent developments between Hakaze/Yoshino. It should get more interesting with the current revelations to the characters, despite the audience knowing this since the first part of the season.

Chihayafuru left off in the middle of grand finals of a tournament so obviously I want to see the conclusion to the match asap.

I think Magi was the only show I watched over the weekend that didn’t leave me on a cliff hangar. That episode pretty much did everything that was shown in the new opening in one episode. lol Pretty awesome animation in this episode and really uplifting given the events of the last episode.

yea Chihayafuru and bakuman left off on some pretty big highs, i cannot fucking wait for this week!!!

EDIT: how the fuck do i edit my sig…and why the fuck is this video embeded? wtf…

Bakuman skipped an entire arc. They’re rushing to finish things off this season.

The attention to detail in Minami Ke is astounding.
When I saw Fujioka’s large, garish sneakers next to the girl’s dainty little sandals I cried for like an hour.
To be fair I was in a pretty emotionally vulnerable place.

haha, yeah, that was pretty much New Magi OP: The Episode. And I am also greatly anticipating the conclusion of the tournament in Chihayafuru.

I never commented on the last 3 episodes of Sasami-san@Ganbaranai, but ep 3 was amazing. It’s amazing how everything that seemed to make so little sense just got explained succinctly within the confines of 22 minutes. The subsequent episodes were good too. It’s becoming more of a good show than just a weird show now.

I feel like Warp and I are the only people left watching Shinsekai Yori. :frowning:

EDIT:

Spoiler

test

Spoilers work the same way as before.

I’m just going to wait until Shinsekai is done then marathon the entire series.

Hmm…don’t know if they added the function back just recently. It’s not very clear as you don’t see the spoiler tag work when you click preview.

Spoiler

Preview button is very misleading and is straight up 5-0 ass.

Not really.

SSY up to 19

Spoiler

They’re really trying to build up the hype for the fiend (whom likely might be Mamoru & Maria’s child), aren’t they? That said, people foolishly underestimated Squealer/Yakomaru and the results are what’s been happening now.

Space Brothers 44

Spoiler

The aftermath of Hibito’s crisis aversion; basically shows the rest of his crew elated on his return, Damian surviving but still has a swollen hand and Mutta’s reaction to hearing that his brother was OK. Latter point was especially done well; as is the brothers’ talking to each and recollecting the situation; where in a way, Mutta had a part in helping his brother survive.

Next week the focus finally returns to Mutta once again as he continues on his road to being an astronaut…been a while!

Still watching Shinsekai Yori here.

Also was not expecting that in Robotics Notes, seriously.

[details=Spoiler]Warp doesn’t really think it might be Mamoru’s and Maria’s child, but I think it’s probably pretty likely. The child could easily be 10 or 11 years old by now, more than old enough to be self-conscious about these things. Squealer is a piece of shit and is probably behind most of this. I don’t believe it was mentioned WHEN the bones of Maria and Mamoru were found, which leads me to believe they could’ve been possibly been killed by Squealer after the child was born. The child is then raised by the queerats to be a weapon of war they’ve been planning against humans for a long time now. This makes sense to what was mentioned at the end of episode two when Saki mentions that lives would’ve been saved had Maria not been born at all. Also, in a recent episode, Maria says that she and Saki can’t even have a baby.

My theory is somewhat backed by what some faggot spoiled earlier in this thread. I’m still pissed about that since it’s probably a big reveal coming up. Had to do with why homosexual relationships were encouraged in that society, but I won’t say much else in case people forgot about the spoiler (you’re lucky if you did, I guess).

Even then, a child raised by queerats has no real societal morals or cantus training other than what it already knows. I think more signs point to the possibility of the fiend being Maria and Mamoru’s child than not.[/details]

Yo fucking Psycho-Pass 16 was fucking bonkers. GEN UROBUCHI YOU MAGNIFICENT BASTARD.

Psycho Pass 16

[details=Spoiler]I wasn’t really expecting Makishima to get captured. Somewhat of an interesting twist. Some people were complaining that Akane didn’t kill him, but that totally would’ve went against her character if she did. Besides, if Makishima was dead, the series would fundamentally be over.

Kagari’s death was expected. First supporting character on Urobuchi’s list can be checked off now. Wonder how many more will be scratched from the list. I was totally not expecting the director to show up. Chinese guy got murked pretty fast, but not without revealin that the director is A FUCKING ROBOT. With Kagari being the only person left that knew the truth about the Sibyl System, his fate was sealed. I wonder what it was? It better not be fucking psychic people swimming in fish tanks like Minority Report. lolol

Some friends were joking that it was actually the entire city populace plugged into machines a la The Matrix. lol. Another joked that it was actually Madoka from Madoka Magica running the Sibyl System and that Psycho-Pass is actually a sequel to Madoka Magica. lolol. Someone else mentioned that the director’s face actually comes apart and reveals a spot for Kyuubey to pilot the director (like the small alien in a human-robot suit in Men in Black). 10/10 UROBUCHI DOES IT AGAIN. [/details]

Seriously anyone not watching Psycho-Pass is FUCKING UP. GREATLY. Probably the best cyber punk show/series/IP to date.

EDIT: WARNING: PUTTING A HYPHEN IN YOUR SPOILER TAG WILL FUCK UP THE TAG AND NOT HIDE ANYTHING. So if you’re going to do spoiler=Psycho-Pass, just do spoiler=Psycho Pass instead.
