Finished SnK yesterday.
SnK episode 24+25 spoilers with manga comparisons.
[details=Spoiler]As people mentioned already, episode 24 was pretty much filler content at the point where the roof collapsed on Eren. Personally, I didnât mind the filler content as it didnât feel out of place and blended in with the rest of the story.
Iâm actually surprised with where they left off in episode 25 as the scene in the after credits has a more prominent scene in the manga. Obviously, theyâll save that for the next season but it just seems weird how they handle that. Overall, the anime adaptation was really well done and was pretty faithful to the manga give or take a few things.[/details]

You know for a show about âCard Battlesâ Fantatista Dolls did absolutely nothing to explain the rules of the game. If there are any, what the objective is, how do you win, how you control the cards, what are the limitations of the cards, do they have health, when can you play them, do you get unlimited uses of them, what makes one card or technique stronger than another, are they ârealâ, what powers themâŠits all kind of left up to the imagination. I donât know if there was any battle that actuallyâŠfinishedâŠusually they have some kind of epiphany and the fighting stops.
As for the story, wellâŠturns out there were no badguys, and twice the people who seemed like the badguy where actually good all along. In the second last episode, 2 of the character who have been in the know, and have been talking to the main character since the beginning and hold a meeting in an auditorium and explain the story to everyone, although some of the explanations were paper thin (The cards were made of geniuses). And it turns out she didnât have to hide the existence of the dolls to her mom, because she knew about them all along. Oh and that thing that was driving the entire story? Well, turns out it was on the internet the whole time. They just all went and searched for it and like, a few hours later the problem was solved in its entirety. All the plots and schemes the âbadguyâ contrived were completely unnecessary.

How does a card die anyway? Like, if they are just data, why would getting hit by a truck do anything? Arenât the cards themselves in a her iphone dealy? Why would physical damage scatter data all over the internet? Proto Zero could withstand being shot with a giant ass nazi railroad howitzer, Sonnet couldnât take one truck? What is up with Japanese truck drivers? Like, how many people die a year to their negligent asses?
But all that is ok because the designs are cute.

One in spoilers I think is Ocean Waves. 1st one is definitely from the Haruhi movie as already identified.
Bwahaha, even the characters themselves in the Angel Beats are packing it up and getting out of the show. Man so much going for it with that show, never did live up to its potential imo.
Angel Beats was a lot more interesting when it was about Yuri⊠and then turned into garbage when it started to focus way too much on Tenshi (thatâs when it went from a kinda silly, fun show into something a bit too serious). Donât get me wrong, I love shows that try to delve into human emotions, but I donât think Angel Beats had a clear direction on where the hell it was going or what kind of show it really wanted to be.
I always heard angel beats was suppose to be 2 cour but ended 1 cour for whatever reason. But Angel Beats is getting a VN that should def expand the story a lot and answer a lot of questions.
Angel Beats just fell victim to a writer too use to working with visual novels that he fell flat on his face when tackling an anime series for the very first time. Too ambitious, too much in too little time. VNâs you can take as long as you damn want and be as detailed as you damn want. Not so much the case with tv series though, where youâre under constant time constraints and need to package things into neat 22 min blocks.
That 2 cour getting cut down to 1 cour rumour stemmed from a comment by the director in some interview somewhere mentioning that the amount of material the writer wanted to incorporate wouldâve been more suited for a two cour show and they told him to try and reign some of it back during planning and production.
Last episode of Railgun S2 was not bad at all. Pretty good shit and heaps of great moments all around, especially in regards to giving everyone their time in the spotlight. 2nd arc wasnât as bad as I was initially expecting it to be either, slightly more serious and less cake-eating than I had anticipated. Colour me impressed Iâd say, considering it was all filler content from the end of the Sisters onwards. I know people are gonna complain about all the asspulls made, but Iâve pretty much accepted that as part of any Raildex series that I watch now and just go along with it for the ride. Iâve enjoyed it more ever since lol
yeah, second arc of S was asspull city, but it at least had some moments of amusment.
