*Eccentric Family feels like it could have been a movie. I wouldnât be surprised at all if it was originally planned to get a movie or OVA adaption.
[details=Spoiler]Yaichiro being the oddball of his family greatly amuses me. His entire family is comprised of oddballs, including his deceased father, yet Yaichiro himself is the only normal person one. I also find his goal of wanting to be the new leader of the Kyoto Tanuki to be interesting. Though with that being said, Iâm not sure if heâs just trying to follow in his fathers footsteps or not.
I also have to mention that I want Akadama to regain his ability to fly by the end of the series. I legitimately feel sorry for him since he lost his ability to fly, the scene with his Tengu flying inside the tearoom really drove home this point. Seeing Akadama like this is akin to seeing a old person being unable to walk without the use of a walker. [/details] *

Watched Iron Witch Annerose episode 2. Its pretty good. Episode 3 is looking to be pretty great, canât wait to see that machine gun girl get it.

I donât see how anyone could have thought this show had any future other than being another statistic. Its quite literally the same exact show released every single season. I am surprised people arenât sick of it by now.
The thing is, these type of shows are enjoyable, even if they are the same thing every season. That is like, the definition of a slice of life show, people doing the same thing in different placesâŚbasically. There was nothing wrong with the first 3 eps, you got some decent laughs, saw some character development, episode ends, cool, see you next week. The problem now is, they are just focusing on 2 characters, and on an expect of the characters no one cares about, one of them apparently trying to seduce the other. This wouldnât be a problem if it didnât take up the entire episode, and will apparently also take up part of next episode, if not all of it.
This is the reason I stopped watching Omouto. In the first season, it was a pretty cool show about otaku nerds, a group of otaku nerds and a few trying to understand theyâre obssesion. The second season was nothing but the brother and sister trying/trying not to bone each other, it became super boring because it spent way too much time focusing on two characters. Granted, SxS has only done this for 1 episode, but that one episode was more than enough. Hopefully itâs all wrapped up by next episode and they go back to doing nothing and doing the exact same thing every episode, Iâll love it.
