It was never a particularly great show. I said from episode 1 it wasn’t going to be as good as Working. I still like it. But the whole, “these wacky characters are public servants!? Outrageous!” Has worn off.
It might be the bunny. I mean, it was all played fairly straight before, they were all mostly normal people…except for a couple of people who appear to be normal, but are actually kind of messed up. But now there is this, super high tech animatronic rabbit being controlled remotely by some guy with a crippling social disorder. It is kind of off the deep end. It trivializes the otaku girl and a goofy womanizer. Its no longer grounded in reality, thus the absurdity of it is easier to swallow, meaning there is no humorous dissonance.
Latest episode of Genshiken. There’s alot more cosplay later in the episode too. I’m surprised how much recent anime they snuck in, Valvrave, Gargantia etc.
I spot Bakemonogatari, Psycho Pass, Shingeki no Kyojin, Gargantua, Volcaloids, Stellvia, Kuruko no Basuke, and a few others that I can’t recognize. Freaking shout outs to Stellvia though.
Can I get an opinion on Baccano? I’ve watched the first two episodes but I’m not really feeling it so far. I feel like I should watch more before I judge more but I wanted to see what others thought about it.
Mmm, something that I must have missed in the SnK manga now that I’ve watched SnK episode 17… (read the following spoilers if you’ve kept up with the manga up until its most recent chapter, disregard this message otherwise or get spoiled to death)
Spoiler
Annie was apparently running around at random looking for Eren until she caught Reiner who most likely revealed Eren’s position after hearing Armin’s hypothesis. I don’t really feel like reading the manga again but what happened to Annie? Last I checked, Reiner, Colossal Titan guy, Ymir, and Eren were all gathered but Annie was nowhere to be found.
So that’s why Fujisaki was voiced by a dude. I thought it was just a weird VA choice like Goku being voiced by a woman. Also call me stupid but I was dead set in believing that Togami was the culprit. Oh well, it’s good to know that the show is not THAT predictable.
Remember how Armin, Annie and whatever that short fry’s name is were getting their equipment inspected after the captured titans were killed? They talked about which section they wanted to join and Annie went with the Military Police while everyone else did Reconnaisance Legion? Like that she’s going to be off-screen. Chances are, she was off getting ready to abduct Eren with the help of all those other titans.

No, I mean what happened to her up until the latest chapter in the SnK manga. I remember that they baited her at one point and were able to take her down in her Titan form but I remember that there was a titan in the wall or some shit and that she was able to escape. Don’t know what happened to her after that, my mind is blank as it has been quite a while since I read it.
I’m watching new Rozen Maiden. It continues on the story, although I think it skipped some manga content to get to where it’s at now. Not like it matters much to me anyway since I hardly remember how the previous installments ended and they generally do a pretty good job of filling in the gaps for you.
Watching this week’s Attack on Titan and then having to wait for new episodes is so sadness. Why can’t I watch them all now? T_T
The later seasons of the original Rozen Maiden aren’t canon. Basically, it’s getting the FMA Brotherhood treatment with the canon stuff being summarized in episode 1.
