Studio Trigger finally entering the ring(well if you don’t count the AOTY Inferno Cop that is)
Little Witch Academia

For those who don’t know, Trigger is made up of remnants of old Gainax including and is founded by Hiroyuki Imaishi(Gurren Lagann, Panty and Stocking)
This particular OVA is being directed by Yoh Yoshinari

I thought it was fairly tame. I mean, no nipples or anything.
At least the guy in Yosuga no Sora got a sex scene with his sister. Watch the To-Love-Ru Darkness OVA’s, or the BD’s that are still coming out.
Ladies vs Butlers was pretty filthy, Seikon no Qwaser is an immortal classic and Komodo no Jikan is actually quite brilliant. The fact it is written by a woman makes it hotter.

That looks awesome. Unlike that other trailer somebody posted about some show about random people standing around and looking all sad for no reason. BORING.

Shit guy. Someone at NoitaminA must’ve had a lot of molasses because the Psycho-Pass just slowwwwwwwed the fuck down.

[details=Spoiler]I entered the show all disappointed thinking it was going to be a flashback episode of Ginoza. Thank god it wasn’t!

If you watched until the very end after the credits, something weird was going on with the lady. I have a feeling she may be corrupt.[/details]

edit:

Finally got around to finishing the 4th episode of Nekomono. Seem Deadfish decided not to uploaded the 4th part on its own despite already doing that previously, so I had to download a “Batch” version which had all four “episodes” put together in one.

The wordy nature of this show really makes Nisemono look godawful.

Though I did like

Spoiler

how Shinobu got lines. Was thinking she was going to stay mute the whole way through. I also found it amusing how ridiculously long the fucking sword was, and how one can simply store it in their own bodies by swallowing it. The trick Araragi had was great. Him being chopped into two was also great. Shinobu stepping in to take care of shit was not so great though. It would make for an appropriate way to take down Hanekawa since we already know she is no match for Shinobu, but at least there’s an appropriate reason why she wears a biker’s helmet now.

Psycho Pass 11

[details=Spoiler]I fucking knew he was Gino’s dad from WAAAY back.
This pretty much confirms his death though.
That Sybil right hand definitely has more going on then meets the eye. It almost seemed like she was some sort of android like the hunter guy.
And of course I’m all but sure that Akane is one of these “one in a million” people with her insane CC recovery rate[/details]

Been spending all my time on games since x-mas/new years. Need to check out new season and catch up on Psycho-Pass, JoJo and all them other good jazz.

Zetsuen no Tempest - 14

Spoiler

It is January 1st of the New Year and Mahiro learns from Samon that Yoshino has been accompanying Hakaze on a journey of sorts as she visits areas that have been affected by the Tree of Genesis. While Mahiro is eating a New Years’ meal with Samon, that also includes Fraulein Yamamoto, Natsumura, and Hayakawa, the topic of the Mage of Exodus is brought up and the search for the individual through the means of ‘rumor spreading’

Hakaze and Yoshino at visiting the cemetery where Aika’s tombstone is and Hakaze pays her respects to the girl for likely being responsible for her death. Apparently Hakaze also wants to know who Yoshino’s mysterious girlfriend is but Yoshino says nothing on the subject. Later, the pair wanders through the empty town and Hakaze gives Yoshino a SITREP on things that happened after he passed out from injury at Mt. Fuji. The situation seems more complicated now, even after Hakaze’s intervention and the princess mage is worried about how the Tree of Genesis will act in the future. Back in the city, Hakaze has a moment by herself where apparently she reflects on the current relationship that she and Yoshino now have because of their meeting and traveling together. She then rejoins Yoshino, who is talking to a young man that needs help with some directions and for some reason Hakaze jump kicks him. It turns out that the young man wants to go to Mt. Fuji and reveals his hidden power, thinking it has something to do with the Tree of Exodus. Hakaze and Yoshino make the acquaintance of Megumu Hanemura and Hakaze wishes to test his ability after telling him that she also has magic power - that opposes his own.

Elsewhere, Samon has a convo with Mahiro regarding the relationship between Hakaze and Yoshino, saying their neither person really understands the influence that the other person has on them. With Hakaze, she has likely developed feelings for Yoshino and for Yoshino, he has likely become a determining factor in Hakaze’s actions. The fate of the world somewhat lies with Yoshino being the one who could likely influence Hakaze into doing something. Samon wants Mahiro’s help in taking Yoshino out of the equation and Mahiro agrees, provided he is still able to learn the identity of Aika’s killer. Mahiro points out that Yoshino’s girlfriend will likely not force Yoshino to do anything rash and as he walks away, he says something to the effect that he’ll look out for Yoshino. Fraulein overhears part of the convo and remembers a convo with Yoshino regarding the identity of his girlfriend and how that info is on a need-to-know basis.

At a school practice field, Hakaze challenges Megumu to a duel in which if he is able to win, she will answer any questions he may have. Utilizing a defensive barrier, Hakaze attacks Megumu from long-range who doesn’t do anything at first. However, as time goes on, Megumu begins wielding his power and stops Hakaze’s attack from reaching him and even goes on the offensive. Megumu even breaks Hakaze’s barrier and ends up destroying her right arm in the process, shocking/surprising him with what he had done with his power. Hakaze isn’t the least bit phased at what just happened and she knocks Megumu out and ends up breaking his left arm. After Hakaze regenerates her right arm (she had preventative measures in place) and goes over to heal Megumu, she tells Yoshino that she had to test him and says that while he may have the power of the Tree of Exodus, Megumu doesn’t have the will to kill.

Samon and Hayakawa have a convo where Samon thinks that Yoshino is the Mage of Exodus, primarily due to his actions in regard to past events. At an unknown destination. Fraulein gets a phone call from Yoshino and she lets the others know (Mahiro, Samon, and Hayakawa) that he has found the Mage of Exodus.

Spoiler

It is now November and as the Robotics Club thinks about how to construct GunPro-2 in their new workspace, they celebrate the birthday of Nae, the group’s technical adviser, by presenting her with a gift. However, Kona isn’t present and apparently hasn’t really been seen for quite a while according to Kai. Later, Aki and Subaru go to visit Doc, where Aki asks if Doc can use the monopole to make something out of them to power the engines for GunPro-2. Kai is reading some stuff about Kimijima Report 4 where the terms of ‘subliminal’ and ‘robot rebellion’ stand out in a summary given by Airi’s alter ego. Aki meets up with Kai (who doesn’t tell the girl about the Kimijima Report stuffs) and reports on the progress regarding Doc and the monopole, then she asks Kai for a favor regarding Kona, which he is ‘forced’ to do after losing a bout of Kill Ballad against Nae the next day.

Kai goes to visit Kona who seems to be a bit more ‘odd’ than usual. Kona tells Kai about some discoveries regarding the last episode of Gunvarrel than includes/highlights the standout terms of ‘subliminal’ and ‘robot rebellion’ from Kimijima Report 4. A series of hidden images with letters are revealed that end up being a password to something on Kona’s mother’s webpage that reveals some info that is in line with the Kimijima Reports (sun flares, robot rebellion, etc). Later, Kai stops by Mizuka’s store for something regarding the unlocking of the fifth Kimijima Report, though he doesn’t let on that he’s doing something regarding it to the storekeeper by engaging in another of Mizuka’s ‘food challenges’. After unlocking Kimijima Report 5, Kai learns that the Committee of 300 were developing artificial solar-corona phenomena, the result of which likely leads mankind closer to extinction, an event that occurred in the last episode of Gunvarrel.

While Aki, Subaru, and Jun are working on recording movements for GunPro-2, Jun gets a call regarding an explosion at Doc’s shop and the trio goes off to check things out. Things are apparently okay as Doc isn’t hurt and he reveals the results of his experiments on the monopole: it is now cut in half. As Aki wonders if it can be used, the three Robotics Club members receive alerts on the PokeComs saying that a massive solar flare has affected/hit the Kanto region of Japan. Kai visits Aki at her home as she is watching the news and trying to get a hold of Misa, who isn’t answering, as she is in Tokyo, which is now in a blackout state after the solar flare had hit. Later, Kai is at home and is checking some message board stuff (Twipo) and sees an entry by one FRAUKOUJIRO.

Kona is also watching the news at her place as the reporter mentions something about robots going berserk after the solar flare had hit. She then gets a call from one of her online acquaintances regarding some ‘messages’ sent via her Twipo account, saying that she has been responsible for the robots running rampant via hacking. Kona then checks Twipo herself and says that she didn’t do anything, much less send out those messages. Kai goes over to Kona’s place and when she doesn’t answer the comm, he breaks into her place. Kona isn’t at her usual station when Kai enters her room, but he hears some noise emanating from the bathroom. When Kai enters, he sees Kona in an overflowing tub of water with a box cutter in one hand over the side. As he goes to check on her condition, Kona reaches up to grasp Kai’s arm, saying that “Gunvarrel is being ruined” and that she needs his help.

Wait, Studio Trigger?

Did something happen to my precious Gainaix?

Is my second season of P&S in trouble?

Remember the Lagann incident where the Gainax head posted dumb comments on 2ch and basically had to step down bcs of it?

Nope.

So, like, all of gainax got the axe because they said something on an internet forum?

The fuck?

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2007-04-27/co-founder-takami-akai-steps-down-from-gainax

Looks like the co founder went down on that incident. Maybe more followed.

That trigger little witch academy looks amazing. I couldn’t imagine what their work schedule is like with the amount of animation they go through.

That sounds silly and doesn’t warrant leaving your job over.

Shogun has such terrible luck for an anime character
[media=youtube]i7ojdo9ZjXQ[/media]
Always in the wrong place in the wrong time smh

Nothing is happening to Gainax
Gainax will still be there.
It’s just that from Gurren Lagann onwards several of Gainax’s main folk have started to go off on their own.
Hideki Anno is doing his live action work
Imaishi and friends decided to go make Trigger

Because Imaishi directed Panty and Stocking I highly doubt we’ll see a second season
Hell, how many second seasons of original productions does Gainax ever do?

*Inu to Hasami wa Tsukaiyou *getting an anime adaption from the LN

Someone Call PETA

About a boy killed in a robbery reincarnated as a dog who is adopted master is a Cruel Girl with scissors

Goddamn those delicious asses

First there was Nanoha. Then, there was Strike Witches. Now, we have Vividred Operation.

Vividred Operation is kind of like a litmus test of sorts. How far can you hold a willing suspension of disbelief in terms of the plot? How tolerant are you of the oversexualization of young girls with lesbian tendencies?

This show has an amazing budget with great animation and I feel like the creators truly believe that what they’re creating is a masterpiece. And yet, there is so much in this show that will alienate the majority of the human population. Liking this show should really be a crime, but I have no doubt that it will be incredibly successful in terms of sales.

I urge everyone to watch the first two episodes and witness this paragon of Japanese anime.

Witch Academia looks awesome.

Woo more KNK. My body is ready!

Probably is in the UK.

I’d personally be hesitant to include Nanoha in that category myself, sure it has those infamous transformation scenes, but those are like what, once a season and then the rest was pretty tame on that sort of stuff, definately more reserved than a lot of **** that gets released these days.

And thats before we even get to the 3rd season onwards where most of the cast have grown up and a manga set afterwards has just dropped the “Magical Girl” from the name altogether.
