How was it a pointless cop out? IT actually made sense. She was at like the core of her DNA an Anti-Spiral, Simon killed the hivemind of the Anti-Spirals, therefore she died as well. The ending wasnât âsadâ. [details=Spoiler] Just because people die =/= sadness. The ending showed how the generation progresses due to what Team Gurren did. Team Gurren passed on the torch of humanity to the next generation, whatâs sad about that?
The world wonât stop just because some people died, you know. [/details]
See the difference there is that he went into battle and got impaled (I think it was that which did him in anyway, been a while since my last watch), that makes sense, people die when they are killed and it happened too fast to save him, Nia on the other hand died because her father died and with a large delay at that, no mention of âIf we kill this guy sheâs going to die as well because xâ, it just happened, like if youâd got to the end of an RPG and had a character choke to death on a freaking pickle or something after beating the last boss.
I mean I know the whole screw the impossible thing is in effect and everything, but having a critical existance failure out of nowhere and not doing anything about it despite having enough time to plan and carry out a wedding before it because the guy whoâs just been throwing galexies around like frizbees does seem a little off.
Still liked the ending but that just seems off, all it would have taken to not be off would be a little more of a solid reason for Nia to die, either by explaining that killing the Anti Spiral would kill her before it happened or just offing her in a more direct way, but there you go.
The immaturity of the characters given their current situation is incredibly irritating, but Iâm not even sure if that would be the natural reaction of people at that age when left on their own. Iâm not saying it should be darker or anything but the way the students are going about this is stupid and theyâll die out if they continue being this idiotic. Also, music video at the end comes out of nowhere and makes little sense.
Given the preview for the next episode, Valvrave seems like itâs going to be 12 episodes and will probably end up a train wreck as they continue to speed through things at this pace.
Railgun with a serious story arc instead of episodic happenings is actually pretty awesome.
Thatâs kind of the point. Youâre not suppose to get hyped for a Titan fight like itâs some shonen battle manga. Given the context of the situation and the way Titans are depicted, youâre suppose to get scared for the characters in those situations. The whole concept of being eaten alive by giants with human features, such as blunt teeth, is suppose to convey a sense of fear and horror.
One of the gripes I have with the anime is how much they are censoring the violence and gore because the deaths of those people are carrying less impact than they should.
All you need to do is [ spoiler ] [ /spoiler ] and put text between the tags, no spaces of course. In any case, like I said earlier, five years is far beyond the acceptable window to use spoiler tags. lol
The best thing you can do is just try to excuse yourself out of conversations when they come up. Donât be one of those guys that hearâs a potential spoiler and screams âOMFG DONâT SAY ANYTHING ELSE I HAVENâT SEEN/READ IT!â, despite the spoilers being like 5 years old. lol~
Then again, if someone knows you havenât seen/read something and intentionally spoils it for you, then by all means get mad!
