Infinite Stratos is also girls in robot suits. Full metal panic and eva features girls in giant robots. Gunslinger girl has sort of robotic girls (they are killing machines, and I think a couple of them were kind of gay, but they were Italian so its cool). I assume the whole conversation came up because of battle angel alita or whatever.
