New Geass is in the same universe as original but focuses on different characters. In terms of a time line I have no idea whether it takes place before, during, or after the original series.
A new Birdy would be nice I didn’t finish S2 but I did enjoy what I watched.
Didn’t know about the time skip in Usagi Drops but I already don’t like the sound of it. lol Seriously, Usagi Drop is like the feel good anime of the year/decade.
Tiger & Bunny had a few serious episodes here and there but they’ve ramped things up considerably with the latest episode, imo.
The Hirano scandal is pretty retarded only because the fans and media are blowing this out of proportion. Someone like Lady Gaga has openly admitted with sleeping with band members and nobody cares yet a similar thing happens with Hirano and Japan is having a hissy fit. I guess part of it is the Idol image that the company was passing her off as is and weeaboo fans are like she’s an innocent virgin balahahrhahraghh.
It is a completely different atmosphere and society. Different values I guess. They seem to hold their celebs to different standards I guess.

Fuck that. I want KyoAni to give us more FMP. Plus, the FMP light novel is finished now, so KyoAni could animate the rest of FMP.
I’ve given up on FMP, sadly. Although it’s one of my favorite shows ever, I doubt we’ll ever see anything ever again. KyoAni is all about making money off of moeblobs, which FMP is devoid of (although Tessa can be one, I guess). KyoAni’s only option is to sell off the rights to someone else… but who would buy it?

There are other good studios that could pick up FMP, but whether or not they want to is another story. Gonzo only does like… OVAs and stuff like anime cutscenes for games these days. Ultra poverty status.
