Fuck Kirino. That bitch is a thankless spoiled cunt that always somehow gets her way while dodging every single event that could develop her character. Even Kyosuke at one point said he hated her. I actually was hating her more than Inami from Working!! cause Kirino is just a terrible person. Of course with Kirino getting all the air time naturally she ruined the show.

Certainly. There’s no denying that Kirino’s a terrible person, but I loved it because of that. There seems to be a hidden rule that all main heroins have to be likeable or have redeeming qualities. Kirino is just a nasty bitch, it’s hilarious. Way better than most super sincere types. Plus, people watch oreimo for Kuroneko anyways. I think it’s kind of an in-joke in the series that everyone hates kirino. Time skips ruining angel beats…what?

Angel Beats would have been perfect if it just stuck with it’s original premises without bogging it down with cheesy melodrama.

The problem is that it’s meaningless bitchyness. Togame is pretty much a terrible, insincere person, but her character was freaking developed so she’s not really a problem. In fact she’s a great character. A main character who is JUST a bitch and literally serves no other purpose is fucking dumb.

I don’t even put the two in the same league. Katanagatari is a very good and very polished anime, oreimo was a Kansai comedy with sprinkled drama. I still got my laughs every episode, and it’s pretty typical of Japanese comedy to keep their characters to a stock personality, so I didn’t care too much about the show elevating itself.

hahah, and they did. They shipped her ass to the U.S. where all the spoiled girls are because fans in Japan just hated her. One of the last episodes was even about winning a contest to say “fuck you kirino”. She wasn’t funny, but the situations that came out of the show with her in it, and from everyone trying to interact with her was entertaining.
