I can understand that but slow is still slow. If it’s slow and uninteresting then you should prob drop the show. Pirates did have some development in it. But I suspect that people thought the show would be something a little different so that’s why there’s consistent complaints. But I think that this show is shaping up nicely but that’s just my opinion and I’m just one man. And as we all know different strokes for different folks.
Right but slow works in some places and not in others.
I haven;t watched Pirates it looks like garbage to me so I dunno if the pacing is right or not for this show. I’m simply explaining why slow works for one show and not for another and why one can like one show that is slow because of it’s slow pace yet hate another for the same reason.
slow only works when there is some sort of character development or making us as the viewers warm up to the characters so when shit does happen it is that much more amplified.
Well every episode of Mushi-Shi is pretty much it’s own story with insight on the life of people, how the mushi affected them and there’s always some moral undertones and lessons to be learned in every single episode, so I didn’t find the series “slow” as every episode was like an arc in and of itself and felt complete.
Meanwhile, Moretsu pretty much had two back to back episodes where literally nothing really interesting happened plotwise or in terms of character development.
Great, one episode we watch them fix a mast, the next one we hear that there might be pirates waiting to ambush them and thats the whole episode, pretty exciting
The first 2 episodes didn’t have this pacing issue, so I dunno whats the deal here
Started watching symphogear. Normally not all “magic girl” but reminds me of a more musical mai otome or something. They are keeping it pretty interesting and it’s mildly dark so far so I can get behind the atmosphere. The way they started the show though was so stupid though, first scene is going to ruin the end for me … who the fucks idea was it to start with a picture of the main character on a grave with her best friend crying on her : / even if she’s actually alive in the end it just makes the scene pointless from the start.
No when it is the very first scene in the anime it isn’t a spoiler.
Nise is moving pretty slow because there’s only 2 main story arcs this time around so they gotta stretch each one across over 6 episodes or so. Bake was a lot more closely nit with each arc only taking about 2 or 3 eps each. Not like I’m complaining though since it still pretty much feels like the same show to me. Talk, talk, talk lol
Ah okay, but slow is still slow. But I didn’t think Pirates would be good I just started watching it because it had Pirates in it. I also didn’t expect it to be like this which is a bonus for me.
That’s an overly simplistic view point and is way off base. But to each their own.

Wow the first half felt like filler…Why does Seventh want to fistfight Yuki so badly? Yuno had the opportunity to stab Ai right then and there.
This. Probably also why there’s a lot more harem here than in Bake.

Great episode, lots of fun little details. Knew Shinobu was going to talk, and that it wasn’t going to be Aya, so I didn’t get to be surprised about it I’m glad that they found a good VA for her. Ka Ka!
Started watching Moretsu Pirates

One of the original seven? What the fuck is this? Gun x Sword : Pirate Edition?
Just finished watching Gundam 00
to me its as good as Gundam wing in terms of having a really intricate plot involving world issues including politics and the energy crisis
overall gundam is my favorite series next to robotech
need to watch macross though
Is Vampire Dance in the bund (or whatever the heck the title is) worth watching? I’m getting it for my friend, but I wouldn’t mind watching it if it’s good.
I remember there was a bit of controversy regarding it’s censorship for it’s US release, but that’s about it. From what I’ve heard about the series, your friend is probably better off watching something else.
No it is not. Better off reading the manga.
I believe he has already read the manga, but thanks for the feedback.
If you like that kind of anime then yeah. There’s no way I can tell you how you’d feel about a certain anime we all have different taste.
Nah, that’s probably because the only other man in the city left at the end of Bake.
Moretsu Pirates, or “High school girls in space” as I call it, is a hilarious Japanimeafication of science fiction. Its impossible they would speak Japanese on a foreign planet because A. The only real aim of the Japanese space program is to broadcast child pornography from the lawless reaches of space and B. They choose pilots for super expensive robots and spaceships based soley on how young and girly they are, and would no doubt fly their ship into the sun in a fit of tsundero-rage after (not) being molested by a robot with a pedophile brain (because obviously, the best companion side kicks are grizzled war vets with a history of child molestation). Even if they did colonize a planet, it wouldn’t last for more than a few months because, like pirates, ninjas and mages, the colonizers wouldn’t do anything “colonizer” like, and would spend all their time setting up holding student council elections and deciding which uniforms are the cutest and most impractical instead of terraforming and farming.
Of course, if we ever need a skirt that works in zero gravity, we’ll know where to look.
Arrrg…Where’s Angel Palms AV when I need it?
Hahaha didn’t think of this but it’s a plausible solution! The only other Male seems to be Senjous father and he seems pretty damn done with woman.

I’m not really sure what happened at the end of the episode. Eleventh is now involved in the story? Have we even met them?[/details]
