Cool. I liked that show, even if I didn’t finish it.
Not feeling a Star Driver movie. Bones cant write and the way the show ended didn’t make that much scene.
Bones can write just fine depending on who’s doing it. Seems like this movie is just another “condensed series” movie though.
Star Drive is pretty much as much as I can enjoy a series that doesn’t even attempt to explain anything important.

Wasn’t there supposed to be a bonus episode in the last Star Driver DVD/BD volume that took place after the last episode? I believe it was supposed to clear things up.

The beginning of a new arc, which starts off with a new Shinsengumi inductee, Tetsu. Who is part of a rich family…and has this hip-hop motif going for him. Apparently he was branded as a “failure” from the Sasaki family, so they dumped him in the Shinsengumi’s care to discipline him. Of course, this does not go well with Hijikata initially and it doesn’t help that Tetsu gets his rap bros to live out his gangster self. This didn’t last for long until they meet Gintoki, who beat him in a rap battle and until the new cops in the block, the Mimawarigumi, arrive.
Turns out their chief, Sasaki, is Tetsu’s half brother and his family denounced Tetsu’s presence ever since he was young. A few insults to Hijikata causes him to destroy Sasaki’s cellphone and probably start a whole war between both factions. Also, surprised at how Tetsu actually looked without the sunglasses. :lol: But despite this, Kondo reminds Tetsu of how Hijakata felt the same when he was young, so we get a little more backstory on Hijikata’s sad past.
Looks like trouble’s brewing next week with Gintoki’s capture by the Mimawarigumi and Tetsu’s first test as a cop…

I’m disappointed Naoto wasn’t raped by her Shadow, although the episode made up for it with Kanji’s manly determination.

This show does one hell of a good job remaining genuinely unnerving so far and making me give a shit about what’s going on. They aren’t pulling any punches anymore. Knock off the most likable character so early, honestly have NO idea where this story is headed and that’s awesome. Shit just got real more so than before.
Finally got around to finishing Mushi-shi (though I watched it over from the beginning). This show just left me wanting some more… sigh
YO DAMN. There goes my wish to read it.
I had friends tell me the anime was good though… Kind of shocking to hear the manga is bad.
You newcomers will learn to ignore Stabby soon enough.
it’s just one persons opinion doesn’t make that manga bad. I’ve mostly heard good things about it though.
