I know it’s still the 1st episode and all, but it might be more or less the same case as Nichijou - could’ve worked in a shorter 10 minute format and most of the jokes are hit and miss. We’ll see.

Yep, still the same as always. Sure we’ll get to know why Araragi got cuffed, but Senjougahara teasing/torturing him just really shows how deep the relationship between both is. Really.
Flashback to a few days ago, turns out the Koyomi sisters had an argument and Karen ran off, while to cheer Tsukihi up, he decides to go to Nadeko (whom you all surely remember), but Tsukihi refuses.
Along the way, a wild Hachikuji appears. Of course, knowing Araragi, his [S]creeper[/S] teasing sense is tingling and gets ready to attack.
A long discussion occurs between both after the confrontation, which mostly centers on the possibilty of telling his sisters that he’s a vampire. Of course, that is while he’s still teasing her. Or being perverted. Or both.
I guess next week we’ll be seeing Nadeko again. Wonder if domino will remember her again by that time.
Also, Nisem’s OP sounds awfully similar to Bakem’s. I’m glad there wasn’t that ClairS x supercell trash, but it’s probably going to be seen in ep2 if it is going to be the OP.
Seriously hope not though, I like what Stable Staple has and does…
Loved the first episode of Nise and it looks like they might have a decent budget this time!

They went through those side quests real fast. I think this is a good way to get a brief taste of the different side quests of the game while not dragging the story down too much. Plus, it was good that we got to see more Nanako.
You know I sort of wondered why that plan even works in the Macross series. You can’t sing in the void of space and what if the Zentradi just cut of communication from the UN Spacy so they can’t listen to the song? Say at the most extreme case, that that UN Spacy hacked the Zentradi so they have to listen to the song, why don’t they just fight in radio silence then? They already outgun and outnumber them, and they are prone to throwing bodies against the heroes, so fighting under radio silence for the Zentradi is like “okay and go do your shit like you’re supposed to”.
I decided to check out symphogear since you guys made it sound like it throws a curveball at the viewer. These shows make me wonder why they always make their last hope/super soldiers singing and doing other stuff besides actually defending people. I’m pretty sure if those girls were standing guard or doing recon instead of throwing a concert, a lot of people wouldn’t have died and they would have actually been prepared.

Is there going to be a new Gintama season? The only anime show that’s keeping me watching anime is Gintama and Nisemonogatari. Any good recommendations for comedy/action this season??? thx
Gintama’ still continuing from last year, so yeah. There will be an episode this week onwards, who knows till when.
Also, most Winter shows just started airing this week, so maybe after a couple or so when a few episodes have aired, we’ll have a good idea on what’s going to be good from the new series or not (outside from the sequels).
I thought Nisemonogatari was suppose to be a prequel to Bakemonogatari? Seems like a sequel to me.
I thought Symphogear was pretty good. I’m going to keep watching a few more episodes before deciding to follow or drop it.
Aquarion Evol gets a thumbs up for bringing back Akino to do the insert songs and OP/ED. Other than that not really sure what to think of the show just yet. Aquarion was really bad and Evol doesn’t look like it’s changing much either but I still found it entertaining. Another one I’ll give a couple of episodes before deciding to follow or drop.
