Is F/Z going to be 40 mins per ep or is it just special since it’s ep 1? How many eps anyways?
The new Hunter x Hunter anime is speeding through the storyline so I’m not really sure how far they plan to get in the storyline. No idea if this will be an ongoing series or if it’ll be broken up into seasons.

[details=Spoiler]First episode completely skips Gon’s encounter with Kaito and his initial reasonings for wanting to become a hunter. They start the episode with Gon catching the fish (as part of the agreement between Mito and Gon) and then basically transition to the boat exam where Kurapikka, Leorio, and Gon meet for the first time. End of the episode is all 3 passing the boat exam while the preview of the next episode shows pretty much the entirety of the 2nd exam. It looks like they’ll cruise through the Hunter exam within the first 12-16 episodes at this pace. I don’t expect them to redo the additional exam that was put in just for the first anime.
Personally, I hope they don’t speed through it too much as some parts of the exam were only intense because of the slow pacing like Trick Tower and the Hunting exam in the forest.[/details]
Fate/Zero episode started off really slow but the build up will be worth it.
Is fate zero worth checking out? The only thing that looks to hold my attention is Un-Go.

F/Z is very much worth checking out. Most likely going to be the best thing out this season.

You should be motivated to finish FSN regardless.
The general understanding is that it will go up til the end of the recent arc in the manga, chances are it’ll speed through the start up til Greed Island arc and after GI go at a steady pace.
I just want the action to be good.

It was probably done so that they could show all of the main characters in the first episode (as well as begin the first major arc).

I’m guessing that they’ll show the Kite meeting Gon flashback later–at least that’s what I’m hoping. If I recall correctly, the Nurarihyon no Mago anime did something similar (i.e., the original first chapter of the manga was not animated until the second season).
I’m relatively new to these parts, but I had to comment on this…
There’s two things I really don’t like as a reader, time skips and “reset buttons”. Time skips I can deal with to an extent, but I hate the great “reset button” with a passion… I am pissed right now that FT seems to be doing both in one week. I’m pretty “new” to the series (started reading about a year ago?), so maybe there’s some hint of this that missed?
What pisses me off about it really is that you KNOW there’s only two ways this is going to go:

The characters are slowly reintroduced in their “7 years later” forms, or worse…

…new characters are introduced that are oddly similar to the previous cast.
I suppose there is the third “they were transported to the future by [insert savior here]” option but that seems pointless. Am I way off base? Too early to tell? I’m trying to decide if I should keep reading, because up until this point I was falling in love with the series (going back and reading bios, catching up as it were).
Im watching Claymore again for a 2nd time. I love this anime.
LOL @ people playing the shitty Fate/staynight VN just because of fate/zero. Save yourself the trouble, people. Avoid the Fate/staynight vn and anime.
If anything they should just know bits of HF since Fate and UBW were already animated.
Personally I didn’t read the VN and I didn’t know better back when F/SN aired. I watched UBW mostly for action but it had some info there. I coupled those with information I could find on several wikis and you can get right into F/Z. It’s not really necessary to have much F/SN background but there are some relationships that you might find surprising when you watch F/Z.

Is UN-GO boys love or something? One of the dudes (the androgynous looking one) is too clingy to the other dude in some of the preview art. And Bones just came out of No 6, so… I don’t want to get surprised when I start watching the show this time.

Fate/Stay night anime and movie never existed. Fate/Zero is the only and best Fate/Stay anime.
No doubt Imma hop on that train and see whats up. I haven’t watching a anime during its broadcast for a minute now. last thing i watched like that was Durarara…and madoka but i didn’t start madoka till ep 6 was out already.

I def need to take care of my anime fix, ive been slacking since naruto and bleach been on filler for so long lol. So i had broken blade and finally finished that–now it’s time for me to check out the fall line up…lol.
Oh and I saw that REDline idk why there was so much hate, if you like cars and sick animation then it dont get any better. I can understand the ending hate but that wasn’t a deal breaker for me.
