No matter what your least favorite anime is, or how annoyed you might be at the moe-moe direction anime has taken since the turn of the century…at least it’s not Mad Bull 34. Someone exposed me to that shit yesterday immediately following Chobits and suddenly I appreciate Chobits a lot more.
I don’t know, Madbull 34 is a pretty accurate description on what happens on the streets of New York. Besides there are shows a lot worse than Madbull; That’s definitely not the bottom of the barrel.
lol, mind posting Madbull 34’s flaws/problems?
Watched Red line recently and it had spectacular animation, story was cool, but it was the animation and action that were it’s main highlights. While the non-race segments were OK, I feel like…they could’ve been better?
I actually liked the entire thing, from start to finish.
About Eden of the east: Are the movies worth watching?
I still haven’t seen the second movie but I heard the ending is kinda bad.
Hmm, will watch the first movie only for now then, thanks.
First leads right into the second so no matter what you’re kinda screwed. Well if the end really is bad anyway.
I don’t know what’s supposed to be bad about the ending.
Just what I heard is all.
Unless you’re fine sitting on a halftold story, then you pretty much need to watch both of the Eden movies lol.
With that said i didn’t quite enjoy the movies as much as i did the TV series since due to the downtime waiting for the movies i must’ve lost interest/forgotten key plotpoints in the story. I’m pretty sure it’d be better if one were to watch it back to back just to prevent that exact thing from occuring though.
Well, horrible dubbing might have something to do with it too, but it was just so needlessly trashy with all of the gore and nudity and rape scenes and whatnot. Then again, it WAS ported by Manga Entertainment which is known for bringing over horrible “edgy” anime that no one gives a shit about or ever will.
Anybody remember the tagline to SF2 V according to Manga Ent? “GONNA BURN SOME MUSCLE!”
Hahaha I loved Manga Entertainment cuz a lot of their shit was as said, trashy, gory violent shit. Nothing redeeming about it at all, but it sure was stupid fun.
Ep 1 of Working’!! pre-aired today liked like it did with the last season. It was an ok episode till that goddamned Enemy showed up to remind me that shes the most hated character in the show. I like how the show implied that it would be ok if she got killed. I choose to interpret Takanashi’s logic that way anyway.
Actually it was ok despite her. Since she didn’t get that much airtime.
Also what the fuck is up that Old Anime thread? The OP there is a fucking moron.
I still have the VHS tapes of SF2 V. Its a decent show. Most people hate that the producers took a lot of liberties with the show and omitted characters while changing characteristics of the ones that were in but I liked it that they did that. I think that it made it easier to tell a full story instead of just making it all convoluted just so they can show all the characters, have them do like a couple things just to show that they were in the show at all, then never be seen again, like how the characters in the Animated Movie were used. That led to a few pointless scenes.
ok guys heres the trick to liking sf2v
pretend those are not sf characters
hey its not so bad now is it
SF2V is great. Not that good as an adaptation but entertaining still. And it has a Ryu that well, actually has character.
I’d watch SF2V but…I don’t think I’ll enjoy it’s 90s shonen take.
Sf2v had it’s moments with the vega eps and the jeep lariat, but even if it’s wasn’t sf it was still kind of stupid. About ryu in this, he seemed like a generic shonen hero: easily excited and a bit goofy but gets serious when he has to. Yeah it’s not BAD but why even call it sf if you’re going to take so many liberties? Seems like a silly reason to give it a pass. I wish the nakahira mangas got adapted to anime. Those are in my top 5 all-time favorites
What is everyone’s top 10 anime movie list? Excluding any works from Studio Ghibli. Trying to find something to pass the time.
