wtf? this game has a record mode? :wow:
if u mean DUMMY record, yes
just go to the controle options and switch to record, where u select L M H S P1 P2 and so on…
As someone who does not care for story mode and time attacks and all those extra modes, I still agree with him on everything said.
I can sadly say that even though when I open up blazblue ssf4 that I only ever hit about 2 menus, which is vs. mode or online, I was surprised there were so few menus for a game that had so much hype before it’s release.
Of course, who DOESN’T want spectator mode and replays though. Hopefully we will have those soon.
This post is awesome x2.
i had to fucking google it to find it. epic fail capcom…
This game is very barebones. There are hardly any offline modes. If you compare the options in this game to the options in Tekken or Street Fighter, it’s not even really close.
i think that the review was fine, since its from a casual point of view, for someone that is not into fighting games, the game is lacking in many aspects, plus the bad netcode would turn them off
WHOAAAAAAAAAA HOSS. Some of us don’t like to read awfully typeset books. If I pick up a book and the typesetting is shit or it’s on shit paper I usually put it back down. I don’t think you’re aware of these things because you’re probably some low culture pleb.
I’m a graphic designer. I live for that shit.
It’s an awful analogy. The things you listed have a lot to do with the experience of reading/buying a book. Especially the typesetting. If the wordbreaks are off, linespacing is too small, type is too small, letterspacing is wrong, etc. it will be annoying to read.
That’s equivalent to mvc3s inputs which are weird as fuck. Sometimes you can queue up moves in a combo way in advance and then sometimes you need to wait half a second so it forgets inputs so you get a hadouken instead of shoryu. It’s annoying.
We get NPC versus, a boss, and some intros and endings. Also training mode that shows up combos along with combos that are not in training mode. This game has a lot so why complain? Chances are everyone would still get this game if it didn’t have online… yeah. Though online does get rather boring with how the game makes people play in a certain way in the first part.

Also GG, BB, outdated old gen rubbish. The only difference from SF and MvC is that the graphics look better.
im still amazed on people wasting their time arguing with anemone, he is fucking moron, who use weak and stupid rethorics to argue with people
for christ sake, he believes that the netcode is not an important feature for a game on these days, so you can guess…
Ah come on man, you and Dime were making this thread worth reading.
How can you declare you were in the debate club and then surrender after just one skirmish?
Admit defeat or keep it going, kiddo.
Work is boring.
so am i the only one who liked the endings?
Important =/= Necessary
It would still be a fighting game even if it didn’t have online. It probably wouldn’t be well received or commercially successful, but you missed Anemone’s point that there’s a confusion between what’s expected and what’s necessary.
did i said that it was necesary?
i said that this day its considered an important feature, believing otherwise would be foolish, and you know it, just look how other games with bad netcode dropped their price in a week after their release (kofxii, tekken6), just look how many complaints about the netcode of mvc3, the fact is that for many people on these days, the netcode is something as important as the gameplay, specially for people who otherwise wouldnt have a way to play the game with real people due the lack of an active community for the game in the vicinity, becoming a necesity for them
those terms arent mutually exclusives either
I’m not saying good online and good netcode aren’t important things to have, especially in these times. For a fighting game to be well received and commercially successful today, it is pretty much required to have online and have that online playable. If it didn’t have it, it wouldn’t be any less of a fighting game, just a bad fighting game if you find that important.
Which one is your favorite?
As for me, I’m getting bored to the point I think I’ve been on these forums about at least half the time I do playing the game.

As for Mr. X, we can all talk about crap and mention the word skill somewhere but face it, Capcom games is like Pokemon, very colorful and addictive to many which may vary per person. The only reason why many people like MvC3 is because of online.
I think I can safely say that isn’t even remotely true, in any way.
Gameplay- Most important part of the game. Basically IS the game. No one puts gameplay over netcode, that should be their second priority.
Netcode- Most important FEATURE.
If you play fighting games for their single player modes…
You might be a casual.
Not gonna lie, as a pad player, I’ve been picking up combos much faster with the LMH format and I pretty sure noone is saying the game’s depth has been sacrificed anymore.
Either way, I was hoping to get my friends into this game so I could have some competition near by, but there is absolutely no explanation of the game’s mechanics in a tutorial mode, which makes this process extremely difficult and unapproachable.
This guy is right, there is a shitload missing from this game, and because we’ve seen this content in SSF4 already, it’s a huge fucking disappointment, and it’s going to be another one when we have to pay for an update later.
