Anger at Fighting Games

So I’ve been getting angry at Street Fighter 5 and my main goal is to become an all-out professional player. I caught myself rage quitting sometimes and I just wish to get better. I tend to start competing in major tournaments by next year and I just want to find ways to calm myself without having to take breaks from playing the game I’m so passionate about.

Not the place for this homie.

Ridiculing me. Nice of you. I’m just asking for advice so if you’re just gonna make fun of me then please don’t even.

We’re hoping you’ll rage quit.

He doesn’t mean rage quit life.

This isn’t O.G. SRK.

This isn’t OneF*G SRK either.

So we don’t really want you here, either.

This is new O.G. SRK.

We WANT you to keep living.

We’re magnanimous in our settled sadism, now.

Think Saint Elsewhere.

To be fair, it IS SFV.

He’s got the definition of insanity down pat, imo.

I used to get plenty mad at SF4, and a lil bit at sf5.
But after SF5 came out, after a while it just killed my interest in fighting games for a good year or two.
(Dont know why it just sort of happened. I didnt even play online much, but something about that game sucked the life out of me)

Nowadays I just stick to the weird obscure games I like (and also SFiii and VSAV) and happy not being online and taking fighting games too competitively serious anymore (because I’m still not all that great at any game in particular).

But seriously, when it comes to anger the best antidote is space. seriously it might be the only thing. Unless you can bring yourself to internalize rationalizations to calm yourself down. just go offline after some heat and blow it off in Training mode or just watch a youtube vid inbetween some matches to take your mind off things for a minute and refresh.

I think your time frame is too short for your goal of becoming a professional player. You have to dedicate your time. I know it’s frustrating at times but you have to make progress by avoiding rage quitting and overcoming other good players.

If you’re getting that pissed off at video games, just masturbate. That’s what I do.

But have you tried fapping while playing video games?

Yeah, you’re welcome

Only during the massage minigame in X-2.

what exactly makes you angry? the pure fact that you lose sometimes?

Thanks for the advice, man.

Understood. I’m only 17 years of age so I think I have plenty of time ahead of me.

Well it’s sometimes I do slip ups in crunch time moments in the end of the round that makes me very frustrated and some things that I can’t find out to adjust which makes me very upset as well.

Rumor is a terrible thing, and not following these men we’ll all reach the same conclusion, that you’re a coward and a liar putting your life above theirs. The good news is there’s hope for your, @IzunaDropIce. Hope in the form of glorious combat, battle is the great redeemer, the fiery crucible in which the only true heroes are forged. The one place where all men truly share the same rank, regardless of what kind of parasitic scum they were going in.

Start by playing non-stop for 3000 straight matches. If you rage quit during those matches, the counter must start all over again.

Frustration can be a hard thing to control. The key in most settings is to remember whether money or pride is on the line, you are doing something for fun. It isn’t ever life or death but also remember to respect your opponent as they are dealing with the same or similar issues.
