I used to work with a few illegals and the boss would work them like dogs for a lot less than what I was making. And they either sucked it up or went back home. One of them wasnât able to get healthcare for his daughter so he basically just had to put money in a bank account and hope nothing catastrophic happened. Iâm all for legal immigration but acting like enforcing the immigration laws we do have is some how racist or heartless is bullshit. You think other countries donât have immigration laws? Look at Canada.

I think we should enforce laws and revise them to make them easier to follow. When I was a bartender I worked with both legal and illegal immigrants and the legal ones had limits as to where they could go and when, while the illegals didnât. The laws as they stand make things somewhat difficult, but if thatâs the case, they should be revised, not just gone unenforced.
The worst problem sounds like it is a shitshow and got bloated. executives increased from 12 to 38 in five years? sounds like government bureaucracy gone amok, and no doubt they are paid obscene salaries. fire and get rid of pls. like if a private company like Puget sound energy wants to hire tons of executives and the board is ok with it then great. either they will fail or not, but taxpayers arenât on the hook
and then sexual harassment, customer complaints, billing system errors, and so on. and they want to use responsible green citizens reducing demand to justify rate hike increase.
its good that they are spending money on infrastructure, but iâm guessing with 38 useless executives in a government bureaucracy it costing so much is due to incompetence

The thing is she is right. NIMBYs do hate homeless people but they are too pussy to openly state it. people should just state their positions transparently. i do not like the homeless drug addicts that are needling up all over seattle and leaving needles everywhere not just in their tent cities. i disagree with her conclusion that its wrong to hate them, but she is right to call people out for not stating their true positions on things.

The question is how you tax effectively and fairly, and thatâs a complicated ass question. I donât have any idea what a perfect or even great solution would be, but if you come into a situation thinking increasing tax revenues is a non-starter, then the discussion should always be about which service you want to cut next.
