Reagan was the governor of California for 8 years before he ran for president. Hardly a novice.
Bush II was the governor of Texas for 5 years before running for president.
Compared with Hillary, Trump or even Obama. They had a lot more relevant experience than them.
However Bush II was seen as stupid and racist.
Reagan was a sell out.
lolâŚtrumpâs meltdowns are so moist. be mad at other men rather than your own stupidity and your incompetent lawyer because your thot and her lawyer is outchea clowning on you. trumpâs meltdown over comeyâs book was just as moist. i read some of the excerpts and unsurprisingly trump looks like an unhinged clown. his meltdown at comey didnât help his case.
the DoJ told congress the bill is so poorly drafted that it would actually make it more difficult to prosecute sex traffickers. they also called into question whether or not the bill was even constitutional. nonetheless, the technologically ignorant congress ignored the DoJ and passed it anyway for an opportunity to politically grandstand. i would expect a court challenge in the near future.
yeah, he finally fessed up after months of rumors. lolâŚi guess trump broke him. in any case, why would he stay? all i see are cons.
1)he never wanted the job. he likes to thinks of himself as a jack kemp style, policy wonk. in fact, the only reason he became speaker is because kevin mccarthy couldât win and ryan was the only choice acceptable to the various gop factions.
2) the gop house is even more fractured and bat shit crazy thanks to trump.
3) heâs not optimistic about midterms. which mean heâll lose the speakership.
4) he not going to accomplish much more. yeah, he can point to his big tax cut, but he made his name on addressing entitlement reform and trump isnât interested. he also can never claim to be a fiscal conservative ever again thanks to the deficits his party created.
5) ryan is not even 50. he will likely for higher office in the future. staying in congress does his rep no favors.
well, like i said he likes to thinks of himself as a jack kemp style, policy wonk. however, jack kemp would have never held his tongue like ryan if the president was praising neo-nazis, endorsing child molesters, etc. ryan likes to thinks of himself as a traditional small government, free trade, fiscal conservative. lolâŚtrump and his stans pretty much destroyed that myth for ryan and other traditional conservatives in the gop.
i like how he illogically complains about leakers and then pardons a leaker.
thatâs what happen when one becomes a culture warrior. $1.50 raises seem like a sweet deal.
did trump ever give you the impression he cared about any of those things more than he cares about trump? does his stans look like they know or care about policy?
Didnât vote for Trump, but throughout his 1 1/2 year term, heâs turned me over. As I said many, many, many pages and whatever back. The extreme leftist and liberals have made me switch, however more importantly my own moral and personal opinions naturally changed to a position that was no longer Democratic.
No Iâm not a Republican, Iâm definitely now more Conservative than anything else and Iâm really looking forward to the Mid-Terms, should be interesting.
Thereâs a big difference between being governor of one state and being president of all 50. Now, i can say that Reagan and Bush II had more relevant prior experience than Trump does, but ultimately, they did what they weâre told. They had smarter, more experienced people around them and they both probably knew they were a bit in over their heads in terms of political and legal knowledge compared to someone whoâd studied law or had served on the Hill for decades.
The Clintons and Obama were lawyers which id say is important, but they also served ON Capitol Hill before they ascended so they were familiar with the working of the federal government in a way someone being governor simply couldnât be. Which isnât to say someone canât be a good president without serving on the Hill but I think that experience makes you more aware of legal and political possibilities and allows you to have your own opinions rather than just relying on third party info from people who may not necessarily care about doing the right thing.
So he appreciates, lying, gouging, bigotry, etc. all his dumbass off the cuff moves
That is what turned him
I am more moderate and do hold some conservative views
Trump has taken office and destroyed any semblance of respect for that position
America is a joke
Trump will soon indict himself, and with repubs retiring in droves we could see the first real impeachment and incarceration ever
Seriously if all this leads to trump getting off, the dems would lose it all. The gop already all in with racism and conspiracy theory bull shit and calling children with ptsd nazis
No he will bring back the Seth Rich fabrication or go into a hour long rant about the âdeep stateâ or somehow this is Clintons or Obamas fault or just go full Trump and claim FAKE NEWS(already has).
Seriously I am hype to watch this shit show in just a bit.
This entire situation with morons not admitting Trump is a lying POS at this point feels like a lame reality show that gets cancelled after one season.
It appears that Hannity, Assange, Trump, and the Russians colluded together to try fuck the Democratic party and get Trump elected. On top of that, Trump and Hannity have been using a Arrested Development-level lawyer. It is likely, based upon the warrant, that Bob Loblaw Cohen may have been seriously abusing the concept of attorney-client privilege, to the point of quite possibly losing his law license, and the subjects under A-C privilege being subject to exposure as parts of criminal enterprises that seem to be being looked into by the Mueller team, if not also New York State agencies to help prevent against perverse use of the Presidential pardon.
I think it is currently unclear what crimes Cohen is believed to have been trying to cover up, but Hannity being identified as one of Cohenâs clientele is eye-popping news. Itâs one thing to be unseemly, itâs another to be functionally state media, and itâs quite another to potentially have committed criminal actions to get your puppet elected.
I am not a lawyer, but this is fucking fascinating. The Fox News addicts help allow the Republican party to not have to follow the rules of governance. This gets us where we are now, whereas I think back in the Nixon era Trump would have been out the door. But because of that same resistance to ⌠the law of the country, the investigators have simply gotten deeper and uncovered more fascinating shenanigans.
I expect more perverse use of the Presidential pardon. Aaaand once he does that, the recipient loses their fifth amendment shield, so it gets to be even more of a clusterfuck.
Iâm just glad Trump is here to expose the bullshit âmoral/family valuesâ that the Republican party has peddled for years and years⌠Even though we all knew it was bullshit, itâs clearly in the limelight now.
Despicable human beings.
(Donât get me wrong, there are normal republicans that actually care about human beings, but the current group of toxic rats are the problem)
i like how one report described the reaction in court when it was revealed hannity was cohenâs client.
lolâŚanyway, itâs amazing how mr-i-only-hire-the-best-people surrounds himself with crooks and dummies. this wouldnât have even been a thing for hannity if he just mentioned it before the story broke. trump stan alan dershowitz even thinks he should have disclosed that info. https://twitter.com/JuddLegum/status/986052009383034881
trump has always been putinâs knob polisher. actually, he undercut his own US ambassador and blocked his own administration plans to sanction russia. either way, itâs a retarded way to handle what should be a simple policy roll out and more proof of a WH in chaos. however, he did flip flop on TPP and once again on china being a currency manipulator. https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/985858100149309441 https://twitter.com/voxdotcom/status/986163607619751936
speaking of crooks and dummies, EPA snowflake, Scott âthe swamp drainerâ Pruitt, needed to spend even more taxpayer dollars to install bulletproof seat covers for his new government suv. the cost is in addition to his 24-hour security detail which includes 19 agents and includes a fleet of at least 19 vehicles and cost millions not to mention his first class travel arrangements and secret phone booth.
speaking of the the snowfake caucus, san antonio spurs trump stans were triggered and felt insulted by head coach popovich comments about trump. they think they deserve an apology instead of getting clowned on by popovich.
popovich comments. trigger warning, snowflakes!!!
Since the presidential campaign, Popovich has shared his disdain for Trump. He has called the United States âan embarrassment to the worldâ and the president a âsoulless cowardâ and a âpathological liar.â The veteran coach is disgusted by comments he called âxenophobic, homophobic, racist, misogynisticâ â âand I live in a country where half the people ignored all that to elect someone. Thatâs the scariest part of the whole thing to me,â he said after the election.
pop doesnât seem to give a fuck. but hey, who can resist clowning on a duck? besides, these people should be used to it by now. trump, gop donors and corporations all clowned on trump stans and bumping this after selling that âmiddle classâ tax cut
