Anything particular of interest in there? I listened to about the first ten minutes. I do like Adams’ “I’ve got the worst fucking lawyers” defense.
I don’t know if anybody thinks this is easy to prosecute: that’s a weird angle. I don’t think Trump is likely to be impeached if Republicans are in charge. I would bet the universe that if this was President Hillary that Hillary would be impeached.
I’m unclear as to why this is titled “Worse than Watergate” - is that because Bernstein’s fond of saying that? I do think that yeah this does look significantly worse than Watergate given that you’re involving foreign powers.
There’s a $50k payoff covered in the plea deal filing that might be the most interesting part of anything.
The fact that Russians were also helping Bernie and Jill Stein kind of blows up the already flimsy collusion narrative so I don’t see how this is ‘worse than Watergate’. It’s clear the Russians didn’t give a damn who won, they were just fucking with the US.
You are really drinking the Kool-aid man. If you could pull yourself away from the far-left lens you would see that Trump is basically JFK without the pretense.
Things continue to blow up all over the place, but I did appreciate:
It seems abundantly clear that Trump would have committed perjury by now if under oath to the Mueller team. Surprised they’re not pushing harder for that interview, since it seems like he’s all too happy to lie… which is a bad look in the legal system.
All of that is neatly and exactly ass backwards, actually. I’ve pointed this out repeatedly in this thread, and it should have been covered in any possible coverage you’ve seen of the Russian elections plan.
The Russians specifically didn’t want Hillary to win. Pre-election here people were up in arms about how Hillary was going to stand up to Russia “too hard”. I for one can’t imagine why they would prefer a toadie vs Hillary.
That’s just a few random links. You’re welcome to continue your own research.
They helped tout Bernie and Jill to suck off possible Hillary voters. That’s how that shit works. A vote there is functionally a throw-away vote, and that’s almost as good as a vote for Trump in their book. This is politics 101.
I’m going to assume it is when it’s explicitly done to influence a campaign right before an election. I mean, that’s the felony Cohen was charged with and specifically pleaded guilty to, under oath in a court of law. If it wasn’t a crime, why the fuck would he get charged and plea guilty?
A: I wouldn’t think so, but don’t know. One of the problems the Trump family is facing is that they’re under the spotlight and so things that would normally have never been discovered are coming to light. If the Trump organization goes through the rigorous investigations applied to Clinton I don’t know where you end up but I do not think it is anyplace that Trump would like to be.
B: I thought you paid them to go away? In 49 states of the union, that kind of agreement would be illegal, yes. You might be okay in parts of Nevada.
The pot calling the kettle black.
I’m certain I don’t present myself as a nonpartisan expert nor create a podcast to disseminate my views to others.
The CEO of the National Enquirer is provided federal immunity for having information on President Donald Trump paying hush money to a porn star he slept with.
America is gonna be holding this L for a long long time.
Exactly. The indictment explicitly states “made payments in order to influence the 2016 presidential election.”
Bottom of page 15, paragraph 35.
“MICHEAL COHEN, the Defendant, caused and made the payments described herein in order to influence the 2016 presidential election.”
And again on page 18, paragraph 42.
And again on page 19, paragraph 44.
I’m not going to type all that shit out, but feel free to actually read the indictment. Those Unlawful and Excessive Campaign Contribution charges are clearly detailed and explain exactly why they are violations, and that the motive was to influence the election.
And to answer your question, “Do you mean paying a prostitute to keep her mouth shut? Is that a crime?”
Yes, it is a crime when paying that person violates campaign laws.
Also, is either a porn star or a Playboy model the same thing as a prostitute?
I didn’t give a shit about who Clinton was fucking, I don’t give a shit about who Trump is fucking. Especially if its a professional whore who signed an NDA.
